Actually I offered to review character sheets, but since we are using pathfinder... ya no 3rd party stuff, the system is still kinda new and there is a colossal amount of customization... have you seen the summoner? or heck even the barbarian!

I was looking to play a human rogue with the ghost template, as this is a character I have wanted to play for a while but never could due to 3.5's handling of ghosts in general. www.d20pfsrd.com/bestiary/monster-listings/templates/ghostThe basic idea is Indiana Jones tripped while running from the boulder, got up, and kept running. He would have the Grave Trappings Origin, although the only things I know for sure would be covered by the item's he has are a whip, set of lock picks, the artifact he was retrieving in the first place, and a fedora. If this is ok'd, I'm willing to have him not realize he can fly until the lever where sorcerers learn the spell, as I know getting it too early can mess with DMs. I'm also interesting in if any of the DMs would have problems with specific ghost abilities so I know not to pick those up. The template is a bit unusual but I personally think it's alright as it's main balancing factor is I can't use a lot of items.

I am in no way in charge this year. I would say that if we were to let someone, anyway do this, it would be you. However it is not likely to allow a ghost, as they have so many cool powers even just being able to walk through stuff.

The problem simply lies with the fact that monsters.are notoriously hard to balance as PCs. I wish I could be on your side but I feel like it might be too much. I'm open to having my opinion changed though.

Now I've looked at it and it doesn't seem that bad... maybe just put a ban on her flying until 5, and all the damaging abilities are once per round as a STANDARD action, but I sadly cannot make a call on this, you know dating her and all...

Summoners are 'natural casters' like sorcerers he was just was born with it, or maybe he was coated in radioactive magical waste products. or maybe his dad buggered one of his mounts... he'll never tell

"Arcane pollution is a rare phenomenon that occurs in and near wizards' colleges and alchemical laboratories."

Wanted to have my character fluff written down so I figured this'd be the best place to put it. WARNING: INCOMING WALL OF TEXT! Gaeis Sungold had been with the church of Iomedae since he could remember. His parents were in the church, his friends were in the church, until he turned 15, he knew nothing but the church. Even at an early age, his strength, charisma and fortitude were obvious and as such, he was conscripted to be a paladin of Iomedae. Only as a paladin did he finally leave his hometown to travel and see things besides the daily goings-on of the church. Mind you, his traveling was due to the church in the first place but nevertheless he got to see things that were completely new to him and meet many different kinds of people. As fate would have it, he happened to meet a girl; one that would change his life forever. She wasn't of his faith but she didn't mind listening to their stories of their god and she respected the rules that they had for themselves. Admiring her free spirit and carefree attitude which was shockingly different than the stoic faces he was used to, Gaeis ended up falling in love with her, and she him. With the permission of her parents, he eventually proposed to her and, in preparation for the wedding, she moved in with him back in his hometown. Now as all of this was going in, his hometown was just finished dealing with a minor orc problem in the surrounding area. Gaeis, upon hearing the news on his return was worried about his future family's safety but the church assured him that the problem was resolved and all of the orcs had been dealt with. Never knowing his church to lie, he was put at ease and he relayed to his wife to be that they were completely safe. For the next few weeks, he thought nothing but planning his wedding. On the day of said wedding, he and his fiance set out from his countryside home to the main village where the wedding was to be held, of course, at the church. An hour into the journey, they were attacked by a raiding party of orcs that came seemingly out of nowhere. They were surrounded, but Gaeis, in his full plate with his great sword had no problems keeping them off of him. His fiance however, lacking arms and armor, did not fare so well. He fended them off as best as he could, taking down most of them before suffering any casualties but there were just too many of them and his fiance eventually fell. The one remaining orc who had slain his love was easy enough to dispatch but then the shock of the death hit him. Bent over his fiance's body, his mind was filled with confused thoughts. "Why were there orcs? The church assured me they were dealt with." "Why did they have to attack here? Why now?" "Why was I not strong enough to protect her?" If only he had maybe had a shield. If only he could have been In Harm's Way for her. If only the church hadn't LIED to him, they would both surely have survived that. Eventually, the tardiness of the couple at their own wedding was noticed and a search party was sent out to look for them. A group from the church eventually found him kneeling and weeping over his wife's body, the corpses of slain orcs all around him. The area was solemnly cleaned up and he was met with apologetic faces and consolations throughout the entire day yet no one could get him to speak. That night as he was lying in bed, alone for the first time in a while, he realized something: not only had he been lied to by the church but he had lied to his love. He told her that she would be safe but she wasn't safe at all. With that lingering thought, he was thrown into a troubled sleep; a nightmare which involved him standing over the love of his life telling her that she would be safe over and over again as she was being beaten and cut by nameless shadows and blades. Luckily for him, that night Iomedae was watching over one of her most loyal followers. She entered the dream herself and dispelled the nightmare. While in his dreams she convinced him that his lie was not his fault but from now on he must walk the path of truth and never stray, in only that would he find justice. That morning he set out to town with a clear purpose in mind: to find the truth. He stormed into the church demanding to know what the real story was behind the orcs. At first, the disciples rushed at him trying to calm him down but nothing could offset his determination. He was making such a ruckus that the priests had to come in to see what the problem was. As soon as they entered the room, they gasped in awe as only they could feel the divine grace of Iomedae emanating from him. Fearing their Goddess's wrath, they immediately told them of how they had failed to even remotely deal with the orc problem and had covered it up so that the townspeople would not flee in terror. Gaeis was enraged with the church both for their incompetence and for their lies but could not let anymore innocent blood be shed. With the best paladins and clerics from the church and Iomedae's blessings, he set out on a crusade which eventually drove the orcs far far away from the village. Afterwards, he deemed necessary to tell the people about the truth and as such, they banished the church from the town. With his present duty fulfilled and nowhere else to go, he set out on the road in hopes that his journeys would take him further on his path of truth. That night, with thoughts of his late fiance on his mind, he made his first Oath: to never let an innocent woman die while he was still able to do something to prevent it. Eventually on his travels, he made his way to and joined a specific guild where his journeys on the path of truth will continue. But that is no longer the past and is now a story of the present. hoooooly crap that seemed a lot smaller in my head than it does on paper. TL;DR: Oathbound Paladin got his girl killed and now he never lies and he protects people. Oh and he still loves his goddess but hates the church that worships her. (Looking forward to the weird interactions I'm going to be having as a paladin that hates the church) [Edit]: And since I love anagrams so much, fun fact: his first name is an anagram for Aegis

You can do that, and I love it. Though, much like Q i only count as a fraction of a Dm, but between he and I it's enough.
