We are rapidly approaching the end of the semester so we should talk about how we want to end it.
A few thoughts on what i feel we should aim for: -heavily story driven -spread over multiple sessions -interconnected (we haven't been doing too much between the zones) -consequences of previous actions playing a key role -some critical change that effects all areas should occur. -probably more i'm forgetting
This Sunday i want to have a DM meeting to make sure everyone knows what has happened, and then together come up with a general storyline for the end of the year.
We will meet at 3:30 to have lots of time if we need it. If you cannot make it but want to have input let me know.
any thoughts/issues?

I will be out of town. I am making New Home a real city, and the Brass Embassy is pretty much just out for revenge now.
past that, I have one not story mission idea, and that thing with Emmett!

Okey so I left a bunch of lovely plot hooks from my missions.... mystery orb which is power supply of the golem and a giant evil swarm located within. xill infestation the brass embassy hates the exterminator guild as is one or two excuses from open conflict monsters are trying to get from the alternate dimension that supplies water to the city and a powerful Duergar artifact that can create limitless items is on the loose maybe? either way the guild wants to steal it from it's rightful owners because come ON it will fix all crafting issues...

So, I wanted to split PCs straight down the middle: defend the golem, or try to take it out.
I want to have a new Neutral king.
I want to pit Alex's group against Jeremie's for control of the Golem.
What else? Jeremie wants to blow up the Brass Embassy - which won't work because he is planning on using a mundane alchemical siege weapon. I am running that this Sunday (Tomorrow).
The Staff, the Key and the Siren all need to be in one place at some point. (I am thinking that the Orb provides the golem's power, the Staff is the key to binding the golem again, the key communicates with the golem but only the heir to the neutral throne (That would be Scott/Mai'q) can speak meaningfully with the Golem. The Siren wakes the Golem - it is actually in its fifth level of wakefulness, and thus is fully sentient, but this only applies when the Siren is on the golem - Littlevoice currently has the statuette(siren) and is chilling in the elf lands.
The White Queen and the Neutral King likely need to meet. The White queen is fairly high CR so she could be a big-bad.
I still have PCs trapped in a nightmare realm in an alternate timeline....

There are a tonne of magical artifacts in the golem's head. Alex's group and Strangeweather are currently in control of these. One of these is the neutral throne which confirms the rightful heir to the neutral city. Jeremie sat in it. He is not the neutral heir.
There is a tome floating about that tells the history of the neutral city.
I will write a story conclusion for the club game.
I am not DMing next semester - or at least not constantly.
What else? Oh, the luck machine and the mystery voice. Um. I don't know yet. Strangeweather is attempting to produce a machine that removes the jynx from him (the horrible weather which follows him) and then transfers his luck to the planet as a whole, thus making everyone as lucky as he is. He has "the devil's own luck," which he wished for from an Efreet - this could be a Kimzhan and Alistair hook.
The mystery voice, unless Brent has other plans, could easily be the Dwarf God (assuming he is relatively benevolent.).
Carebetter needs to raise the dead already.
Nygil needs to send out an E-mail about what Carebetter does.
Nygil do not read: There is the possibility that the stitcher curse can be reawakened in this realm, and there is an individual, one Thark, who is trying to make this happen because he believes it will result in immortality for all, which in a twisted way it will. To awaken this curse all that needs to happen is that Nygil, Scott, Emmett, Chris, or anyone else in that mission talks about the curse, or says the word 'stitcher'.

I misread that and almost read the not for me section, haha but stopped at Stitcher.
Anyway I am part way through the write up for that email/post and will have it out before the game tomorrow.

Dane, feel free to edit.
Miss Matilda Carebetter with out comment or warning entered the Chamber of the Twelve today and sat herself upon the first seat, she just gave a kindle smile and released the 3rd seat to the High Archon Amitiel.
This left only the 12th seat for the House Royal Reagent, who was not in the city at them time, and has likely only now revised the news of his lessening of rank, by mail. Miss Carebetter wasted no time wielding the power of her new post for the good of all, but mostly for those in need. Sweeping reforms have been put in to place that change many of the cities, and the guilds laws related to the granting and delivery of aid.
Likewise use of the guild itself to help with housing, feeding and caring for those displaced by action the guild or it's members maybe partly responsible for. This has lead to much help being given to those in need in the devastated dwarf lands, those displaced by the Goros invasion and elves found homeless after the great fire, mostly though this aid has gone to the fledgling city of New Hope.
Founded in the ruins around the Pit, where the Neutral city stood before it well... .STOOD, the city of New Hope is home to all those who were left with no where else to go. Formed from rubble and tents it housed far to many and was over populated.... until now.
With the aid of guild mages, hired help and many others Miss Carebetter has created a small utopia within the ruins. It stands a city eight miles around with a massive wall of mismatched stone 30ft tall around it, warded by the Hell Knights of the Lucha, and many of those who were once the city watch. Within these great walls are well ordered rows of matching homes, with a few shops and workplaces clustered together in the south side.
Around the outside of the city, near the walls, are dozens of gardens, each fed by a magical fountain that pours forth clean, cool water with out end. These fruit and vegetable gardens are ringed with small flat stones that each night bestow the effects of plant growth on everything inside the circle they form... making each morning harvest time.
With the kindly old halfling paladin woman in charge, and John White (Leader of the hell knights) as her right hand man, the order has been passed that food and water are free for all who would follow the laws of the city, and any family may petition for a home within it's walls so long as they submit to a simple pledge of citizenship and honesty.
New Hope's laws are posted in stone, clearly in the city's centre. Carved in to a huge chuck of what was once a marble pillar these rules state that no one shall bring harm to another through wilful action nor through non-action. No person shall take beyond their needs from the city's stores with out giving back in equal amount. That none shall unfairly enforce their will upon another, nor shall they infringe upon each others basic needs and freedoms. Lastly it states that none shall be refused entry to this placed based on faith nor race, only turning away those who have broken the rules above or proven to be deemed unsafe by the elected elders of the city.
Around this stone are five seats, each given to an elected elder, together they act as governing body to the city as advised by the elected Mayor, Miss Mitilida Carebetter, and captain of the watch John White. Their punishments are simple, those who breach minor laws are given the chance to work off their debt to the city, while more severe crimes are met with banishment.
One could call this paradise a communist state, with free food and housing, but such would not be a fair statement. In many ways it is just very well kept and tended capitalist state, where one very nice lady happens to own enough food and land to hand out what ever the needy need.
With this massive work done in a matter of a week the true purpose of New Hope was made clear, and through mighty and strange alchemy Miss Carebetter was able to raise from the dead all those of pure heart(non evil) who died when the Golem rose. Nearly everyone of the thousands of dead stood as unharmed, living folks. Each was welcomed to the city, or free to leave as they saw fit.
While those few who were not returned to life either have become the undead at the hands of the mad dwarves of Fort Rubble to the north of the Pit, or have become dark spirits who wander the ruins to the east and west still.
The Pit itself remains a gaping hole in the world, spewing odd things, horrid magic and alchemical run off.

I won't be there on Sunday. Mid-term on monday and essay due on tuesday.
Most of my plans for the finale were already laid out in my summary when we started. In the next few weeks I intend to run missions that will decide the success of Dios' slave revolt and whether or not that succeeds based on player choice. This will likely have a large impact on who takes part in the final sea battle. I also want to make it apparent that the war is taking a large toll on the Gouros and the League of Trium with the Boerenycians exerting their control over the league ala Athens in the Peloponnesian war and the Gouros becoming extremely unforgiving to the League's people.
Also the players in my one game opted for Dios to receive support from the Gouros Empire so if Dios succeeds in her revolt then it will be a large benefit for the Gouros as they destabilized the Boerenycians. I also may have the Gouros betray Dios, imprison her and have the players go in to rescue her. Then possibly have the players lead a ragtag assault with her and the other members of the league on Chronos as the final battle but I'm not so sure yet. Also pretty soon I want to have the Gouros Emperor die and have Arlen Vowe try to take up the throne. The final boss will likely be him with the Semi-Godlike powers of the Emperor as he accepts the throne.
That's pretty much everything I'm planning unless I change my mind.

Or bar severe pressure from outside sources, ie. being told to DM.

When does the golem make it back to the pit?
I'd like to run a mission where the party have a chance to shield New Hope from being stepped on before then.

uhh... hmmm, some what important question: Are we ending sunday or wednesday.
Also we should either come together to create an end event accross all dms, or pair up and run duo or something, to make it more interesting and climactic.
Thoughts?
My plan so far is to have my big bad use the anathema to create a portal to limbo and fly in on the back of a black dragon construct. There will also be some other constructs coming out in an attempt to bring the entire area into limbo.

I vote we end it on wednesday. Having the final game on the 9th of December in the middle of exams is a bit much.
I would be willing to do a special end event. Though we should discuss it in depth. DM meeting this sunday before the game?
