So this thread is for the discussion of the first DM meet up, when where and who can attend and who wants to attend. Only matters pertaining to the planning of the first meet up and not towards the content of that meeting, we'll set up plenty of time to hash that out during the meeting.
I suggest that we try for a time early next week say Tuesday? I'm not sure what room we could have maybe meet up in BSB and wander? Also if someone could offer to "take minutes" that would be nice.

Unfortunately I might be stuck working in Toronto for the foreseeable future, and so will probably have to miss this. Would have been open to being a backup DM, but *shrug*. If you ever settle on a date/time I'll try to make it I guess.

Likely let the DnD exec figure this out.

Nerd Exec titles are pretty empty imo. I still think we should get moving on this.

Is this meeting reserved for only "full time" DM's? I'd really like to DM but still plan on having a pc to play every once in a while. Looking to DM more than half the time though.

We are happy to have one shot DM's, but our meeting is more like a planning sort of thing for the year's main rules and guide lines. None the less, anyone can come, it's just spoilers and and such. We will soon have a date for this, AFTER the general meeting, so the 23rd i think is the earliest possible date. but we will try and pus that back.

This meeting cold easily be earlier: why is the general meeting happening so late in the month? We need to get rolling.

I agree with Dan. It should be earlier. Wanna get the club game moving along.
As a side note, if you have even a slight interest in DMing then you're more than welcome to show up.

To bad we CAN NOT book sooner than that. Like it can not be done so far as I know.
Adrain can try for like, mid week. But he will need to do so himself as I do not think anyone knows how.
Or like.... do this yourself and get it set up, or sHhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh (No mad demands with out offering aid or effort)
Also moving ahead before the meeting is silly, as no one knows what is going on yet. So trouble.
Now, stop arguing in front of the children.

Okay I disagree with you Nygil in that I think it would specifically be good to have the DM meeting before the general meeting so that we have a sense of who will be DMing, who is on board with the plot and such so that we have something to tell the folks in the general meeting. I think booking a room isn't as much of a problem as you think because if we can wrangle all the people we need/want to come through the forum and e-mail we could meet-up in a more public area say outside clubspace to discuss. That was my intention with this particular thread even though it isn't living up to those expectations.

Before we know who is in the club?
Bah, if you think you can make it work as well as a post general meeting day then I say go for it (if Brent agrees), but I also say that meeting everyone, telling people how we run things, and explaining how DnD works within the club should go before meeting the DM's in one place.

Then again, "whose in the club" is liable to be vastly different than what we might see from the first meeting or even the first club meet. I mean, take last year, we had essentially a full classroom the first DnD meet, but throughout the term only half as many consistently showing up.
Of course, we could always have the DM meet over skype or something to make it more accessible. We -are- living in the age of technology after all!
