My players: Ashley, Scott, Liz, Dane and Emmett
Ashley: Lightfoot Halfling Cleric of Healing Liz: High Elf Wizard of Academic Tradition Dane: Human Rogue Scott: Dwarf Fighter (Hammer and Shield) Emmett: Elven Fighter (bow)
This game will go from level 7 to level 10.
The Plot
For many years now the Dragon Gathrik the Venomous has lead a war-band of savage races in raids on the lands of more civil folks. From it's mighty perch the dragon has gained control over hoards of Orcs, Goblins, Hobgoblins, Gnolls, Bugbear, Giants, Lizard folk and darker rarer things. Even demon worshiping men, and a grand cult of kobold servants have flocked to the fell creature's cause.
Men of the nation ???, as well as the elven wardens of the ??? forest, and dwarf clans of Mount ??? have each felt the claws of this menace, and allied to repel it. For many years now an on and off war has raged against these dark things, but with no true partnership between the three great races the best any can manage is to keep their boarders secure.
Heroes and mercenariness have been gathered from each of the races and gathered in to small elite bands with the mission of entering the enemy lands to strike a blow against the savage creatures as the armies of the civil races draw fire.
(Not that the races are more LoTR, being that the races rarely deal with each other and know little about anyone but their own kind more often than not)

Ah dammit, I've been planning and building a Dwarf Fighter lol. The hell even IS a "Krunkulous"? Because it sure as hell ain't a "Krunkules The Magnificent"
I'm actually trying to go over all the rules before deciding on anything, everything is just so different from what I am used to that it is taking me awhile to decide on anything.

Fair enough. You get to be the guy who plays a double of one of the class, try not to be the same Race/Build as the other one with that class.

Actually I am now dead set on what I want to play. Monk evidently got released in the play test like 3 days ago; assuming you will incorporate that into your game, I call dibs.

Every on gets three magic items chosen by me, as they are gifted to you by the lords of your home nation, or so other valid source. (This may change slightly)
Scott, gimli gets a sack with three potions of healing, a +1 Plate Mail and a third you get the Spellguard Shield.
Emmett, Legolos gets an Oath Bow, Boots of Elvenkind, and Cloak of Elvenkind.
Liz, Your wizardess gets Bracers of Defense, Ring of Wizardry and Wand of Magic Missiles
Ash, the hobbit gets a +1 Short Sword, Ring of Protection, and +1 Mithral Chain.
Dane, your rogue gets Dagger of Venom, Hat of Disguise, and Bag of Holding
Details
Scott's Armour is forged of heavy iron bound in Runes that glow red in fire light. This Plate Mail has been passed down through his family for seven generations. It is said to be blessed by Mordin, and is unbreakable so long as it's wearers spirit remains unbroken. The wearer has only one thing to complain about with this armour, that is the weight of it seems to sit heavy on their shoulders causing aches and pain no matter their strength.
Scott's Bag of 3 healing potions are standard gear when a dwarf is sent out of the mountains during war times.
Scott's Spellguard Shield was made by his family with the aid of high elf wizards to aid in the siege of the Hobgoblins centuries ago. It had been lost in ages past, but as a test of manhood Craig Craigson was sent to take it back from the kobold's who had claimed it.
Emmett's Oath Bow is as written, gift to him by the Queen for his service as a protector of the realm and his willingness to under take this mission. While his Cloak and Boots are symbols of his place among the Nameless Wood's Rangers, they are as written.
Dane's stolen Dagger of Venom is Drow made and it is bane to surface elves, they revile it and know it as a tool of a death dealer. The weapon is forged of black glass and makes it's holder feel nervous and unwell like the glass itself were envenomed and could poison them at anytime, more and more so the longer it is exposed to sunlight.
Dane's Bag of Holding was given to him in his youth by a mysterious figure that to this day remains an unknown to him. The bag itself is gnomish made, looking ratty and patch work. Little is known about the history of this item, but it is enchanted so that it can't be found by anyone but it's owner. It does however give the owner the urge to stash wealth within it, a near kleptomaniac need.
Dane's hat of disguise is normal as written. He bought it from a wizard.
Liz's Ring of Wizardry is elven made, of powerful arcane history. It appears to be a plain silver band that when held up and the elven command 'Starlight' is spoken it sheds 10ft of bright white light until told to 'Darken'. For reasons unknown the wearer of this ring is often mistaken to be a creature of noble bearing above those around them, breeding respect and difference at first, that leads to contempt over any period of time. This ring was uncovered deep with in the founders office with in the Collage Arcanium, and is thought to be created by her.
Liz's Wand of Magic missiles was given to her as a graduation gift when she became a true wizard of the arcane order.
Liz's Bracer's of Defense are made of fine polished leather with an earth elemental bound to the turquoises set with in them. While his power flows over the wearer protecting them from harm, it also holds a deep hate for the owner. Other elementals pick up of this and tend towards disliking the wearer. The elemental is also bound to inform the wearer of their depth below the ground and the nearest way out. When first picked up by a new owner they feel the cries of the trapped elemental, finding it disturbing, but after a few hours the voice is toned out for ever. These were created by Liz as a 'thesis' project.
Ash's Sword is a family heirloom passed down from Bridget the hero of Kinsbail. When within 100ft of goblins/orcs the blade starts to shudder like one filled with rage, and glow a light blue. However when not near the repellent green-skins the sword seems to give off the scent of clean streams, pressed grass and the a pleasingly warm feel.
Ash's Ring of Protection is formed of ivory carved in to the shape of clasped hands. It was bestowed to her, as 'the protection of Kith and Kin' marking her as one of her village no matter what else. The spirits of friends lost and Family before her use this ring to warn her of upcoming dangers (+2 Initiative). The rings deep connection to her village does sometimes allow the voices of it's people to slip through as tiny whispers reminding her of home for better or worse. (1% chance of important info 1/month).
Ash's Mithral Chain shirt was earned when she healed an elven emissary from his punctured lung, while under orcish arrow fire.

Weapon will probably be a warhammer, unless there's some reason why that would be a bad choice. In 3.5 at least it was always handy having a source of bludgeoning damage.
You picked a day for this yet?

Fighter is very weapon style based, but there is a magic weapon (for dwarves) that is a warhammer maybe I will go with that.
Nope, still waiting for liz to return to sane people land (after the weekend maybe?)
What day of the week works best for you folks?
