Physalis grew up in the village of Borealis. He was born under his human father named Orgon and an orc mother named Azure. Borealis was located near the enormous plains of Mirkwood, where Physalis spent much of his time playing, interacting with animals and learning to survive in the wilderness. As such, he grew to have a affinity for nature. Boeralis was located near an enormous keep, where the evil wizard Morlock resided. Morlock was largely reclusive and rarely gave the village and its people trouble. However, when Physalis was 14, people from his village began to disappear. Initially, there were reports that some of the missing persons were seen entering Morlock's keep, never to emerge. The village mayor called for cavaliers from the Order of the Land to come help deal with the wizard, but no help came.
One day, Physalis awoke to find his parents were not home. He went outside to find a mob in the village square gathered around a man similar in description to Morlock. Physalis attempted to find his parents but he only found his father. He did not respond to his calls and he noticed that his father and the other villagers held a blank stare and were completely affixed on Morlock. Physalis was pulled away from the mob by a woman who turned out to be his mother. She explained that Morlock had used a mass compulsion spell to control everyone in town but both she and Physalis had succeeded on their will saves, errrr, rather they had particularly strong willpower. His mother placed him on a horse and told him to ride off and meet her a few kilometers outside of town.
Physalis waited for several days at the meeting spot, living off nature during that time. However, his mother never appeared. Physalis snuck back into town to find it burned to the ground. There were numerous footprints leading into Morlock's keep, where the sounds of screaming could be heard. Physalis, lacking the strength to confront Morlock, fled Borealis. He stumbled from city to city, working odd jobs and living off the land. His travels brought him to the city of Mooracre. Mooracre was home to a Guild of Spellbreaker Inquisitors, devoted to the control of arcane magic and to tracking down particularly devious casters. Physalis attempted to join the guild who rejected him at first, but upon hearing of his past experiences with arcane casters and his desire for revenge they agreed to let Physalis join. Physalis trained and worked with the Mooracre Spellbreakers until the present day. He wishes to someday find his mother and he still holds a grudge against arcane casters, the Order of the Land and especially Morlock.

What happens when an Elven diplomat patrons a human brothel while on a diplomatic mission? Well, certainly the unwanted pregnancy of a half-elven child of course. Such is the case for this child. Unbeknownst to the diplomat, this brothel was a part of and therefore under the direct supervision of the Temple of Calistria, the mother being a sacred prostitute of Calistria. This unwanted child was born under the temple's direct supervision, and given the name of Cali in homage to the deity of Lust, Trickery, and Revenge. The child was raised solely by her mother, who was given a leave from her profession by the Temple in order to properly raise the child, however this was under the stipulation that the child would eventually take her place. However, being an “exotic companion” in this brothel was not exactly what one would expect. Each lady was trained in proper use of Calistria's sacred weapon, the whip, not only for “recreational” use, but also in effective combat use in times of emergency (such as an unprovoked attack on the temple and/or it's brothel). She lived her entire life in the temple, and the only visions she got of the outside world was the wide variety of people who patroned the temple and brothel.
Since the day she turned 18, Cali has been “serving” patrons of the brothel, and has taken to the profession extremely well. The priests have even noticed that the child had been blessed by the goddess herself, and granted the ability to channel energy, though Cali's hatred of her Elven heritage has caused this channelling to become negative. When another elven enjoy came to the Temple-brothel for some relaxation, the now 23 year old Cali (which would be about the maturity of a 17 year old human) could not control her anger towards her father, who she knew was an Elven envoy, but did not know who exactly he was, and ended up channelling on her “partner”. Being a high-class patron of the brothel, the Elf, after recovering from searing pain which felt as if hundreds of wasps stung him repeatedly, immediately ordered the temple to execute Cali for her offence. They told the Elf that they would, and Cali was jailed for several days until a sentence could be ordered. However, being an understanding temple, after the Elven envoy had made it's way, they simply outcast Cali for her inability to control her actions and the negative publicity it had brought to the brothel. Saying goodbye to the friends she had made during her time there (the other working girls mostly) and her now retired mother, she packed her whip and a set of yellow and black studded leather armour, emblazoned with the mark of Calistria, along with some travelling supplies and was set off into the world, with absolutely no travelling or outside world experience.

Can I please have an extension on the deadline? Kinda crept up on me, and I'm really interested in being in this game. Unfortunately, the next few days are kinda packed for me, what with going home to Sauga and then doing job training and then visiting people in St. Cat's. I will try to put in as much time as I can to this, though. For now, I'm fairly certain I'm gonna be playing a rogue/bard halfling whose schtick is that he is wholly devoted to chaos and change, whether it be for good or ill. There's more backstory, but it's gonna be DM eyes only. Also, is there a world we're working with, or do we just get to make up town names and gods and shit like that? Sorry if this has been answered already, didn't see it, if so.

Wiket, Ratfolk Conjurer**This but far less sinister looking and without the various potions. While most ratfolk are born into the countless different clans who scrape by in the slums of major cities across the globe, Wiket was fortunate enough to be born a lab rat for Golaria's Arcane University of Conjuration. Everyday he would watch with the utmost curiosity as various individuals wearing fancy robes and funny looking hats would perform all sorts of miraculous things with their magic. Everyday Wiket would pay close attention to the wizards, memorizing their incantations and scratching details into his cage. Finally on his 12th birthday he underwent arcane testing, and was admitted into the university's elementary branch as a proper student after proving himself to be exceptional among his fellow lab rats. One year later on the eve of his early graduation from the elementary branch, tragedy strikes the school. Having snuck out of the University that evening, Wiket narrowly avoided certain doom as some strange anomaly burst from school, engulfing it a in a blueish haze of swirls then ripping it from the very spot it stood and before it and the anomaly simply vanished. By some unknown twist of fate, Golaria's Arcane University of Conjuration was no more, disappearing from the very ground it stood; and Wiket felt very much alone. And so, Wiket gathered what few possessions he had and began his to travels under the guise of a sort of rogue, allowing his natural talents for sneaking to flourish and resulting in quite the effective combination. Now 14 years old, Wiket's life takes an incredible turn as he begins the adventure of a lifetime. Today, I am completely free, and that should be the norm, but my new job requires me to be available on Fridays (I think, I'm not entirely clear) so this might be an issue in the future. In such a case, I have no idea when I'd be free, I still haven't actually worked a real shift yet, so I have very little clue what to expect : /
Anyway, 6pm works fine today.

I should be good for six today. I will be good for six in the future. Everything is a bit cloudy as I just woke up. Basically, I may be late today but I will not be late in the future.
