It's my third year at McMaster, and I was itching to actually try to get out to D&D games with the club for the first time. I was too shy and too late for the last couple of years, so I figured this was the year to shine. Just my luck that the club D&D games are scheduled right before my night class is about to start (2LL3 Atheism and Skepticism). Alas and pity, I'll just do what I usually do - run D&D games off and around campus. I found a stack of Advanced Dungeons and Dragons adventure material that I'd like to convert to 3.5e (I do a lot of conversions, but I did run original stuff, 3.5e core, and a touch of 4e in first year). I would like to add in one or two more players (since the one or two people I usually have as staples in my group ended up either being busy or seeing all of the campaign material). If anyone is interested in joining an off-campus group for D&D and trying their hand at some wacky adventures made in the 80s (you won't believe how fun "The Airship of Love" is until you've played it), then please reply here, or find me on campus. I'll be in the BSB cafe today (Tuesday Oct 8) between 11-12 this morning, looking something like this: 31.media.tumblr.com/5ba80ed6f5cbff4cb8ae8c6c79f5f0f5/tumblr_mu62ge50VK1r04oimo3_400.jpgIf you're in Philosophy of Science (3rd year) or Advanced Bioethics, you can also find me in the classroom. The off-campus group can meet near-campus or in the East Hamilton area (the bonus of the East Hamilton area is that it's my apartment and we drink really excellent beer in my humble abode).

Hey, I've never actually played D&D but I definitely want to try it out. Kind of missed the club events but I wouldn't mind joining your D&D games if the days are right. P.S. and drinking excellent beer is definitely a great bonus!

I find myself interested in joining.
Unfortunately I woke up after 12 today, so I'm a bit late on reading this.

I'll be able to hold games on Fridays/Saturdays every other week, for those who are still interested. I'm mostly looking to fill one spot in the group, so the first person I meet with who can make it to the table regularly will have the spot.
I'm heading up to my mom's for Thanksgiving this weekend, so the earliest you can catch me on campus is next Tuesday. I will be in the Atrium, 11AM-12PM.
If you'd like to talk about the campaign I've got planned before then, message me on skype: soycrates_

Hmm... first Friday/Saturday I'll be available is the 8th/9th of November. Think I'll have to bow out.
It's a shame you have evening classes on Wednesdays, but if you are not too busy on Sundays you should definitely drop by for those club game days. You don't lose out on anything by missing games so it works out nicely.
rj: Don't worry about having missed the club events, you can drop by at any of the games and we will help you out, teach you the basics and all that. Games are Wednesdays and Sundays in BSB, we meet in the front area at or a bit earlier than 6pm, from which we relocate to an empty room and sort out games.
