The group was asked to retrieve a vial from a Cleric friend of the inquirer. The inquirer does not say much other than good luck and gives Steve and Zeff a key.
After finding a cavern on the long stretch of beach, they meet a mysterious cloaked man that warns them of the door they are about to walk through. Steve and Zeff put the key into the grooves of the door and the door swings up, sucking Bryor into the dimension (not without James’ attempt to save him).
Bryor finds himself in a very dark area and up against 6 Advanced Animate Dreams. The others come to save him after he cries for help. They defeat the six and the floor lights up revealing a staircase. They climb the staircase and find themselves in another battle. Steve and Zeff’s black tentacles grapple it and dazzle it while the rest of the team goes for an easy defeat.
The floor lights up again revealing another large door. The hooded man shows up again and offers to open the door and warns you of the danger behind it. When the team steps through, they find the cleric they were looking for. However, she seems unresponsive and it isn’t until Robert falls into the water, that the water starts to pulse red and battle begins. Steve and Zeff notice the invisible shadow behind her and attack him instead, causing the cleric to free herself temporarily and toss the vial to them. She tells them to get out of the area quickly.
The team makes it back safely to the beach and meets the inquirer. She is as secretive as before, but thanks you for the help.
James Delahunty, Alex (Jim), Sam (Steve and Zeff), Bryor & Robert: You each receive a Bag of Shadow Clouds. Three times per day, as a move action, you can pull out 1d4 semisolid shards of shadow. You can use it as a thrown weapon to cast darkness on any 5ft square. As a move action, the bearer of the bag can move a shadow cloud up to 10ft in any direction. These last 10 minutes before dissipating.
You also learn the cloaked man’s name: Ryan.
