Greetings friends,
As exams draw near we all get a little crazy inside. Some of use get stressed and busy, others are half mad, then a few of us go 'chew on your desk' bonkers. So why not release a little of that inner insanity? It's time you had the chance to regain your cool, and have a little fun, turns out we've got just the thing!
We've got a tournament for you guys that's a brand new style of play! This has never been tried before, and is clearly the product of a twisted genius. This mad plan is the brain child of the N.E.R.D. Club and as such if you come out to try, you will be among the first to ever play this style.
Tournament Rules
Each player will receive a tournament pack with 75 cards (including land)
For round 1, each player opens and shuffles their tournament pack and plays it as is.
Following each round, players can do the following things:
1) Remove any number of cards from their deck, maintaining a minimum deck size of 60
2) Interchange any number of basic lands from a supply of basic lands provided (swapping on a 1 to 1 basis)
3) Make up to 3 trades with their most recent opponents. Trades also occur on a 1 to 1 basis, with rares, commons, uncommons ad mystic rares being treated as equal for this purpose
Overall, players must maintain a total of 75 cards between their deck and side board
The pack is provided by the club, entry to this crazy plan is a cost to you of $14, this gets you in, and no matter what you get 75 cards out of it. If you do well though.... we will have prizes for you.
First place will win a pair of Zandakar boosters, as well as $20 of MtG merchandise provided to us by Conspiracy Comics. Second place will get one Zandakar boosters $10 of MtG merchandise provided to us by Conspiracy Comics.
All of this will be taking place at the student center, we do not have the room booked just yet, nor a time. We will be doing this on Friday the 4th in the afternoon. Some time later this week after we get some feed back on the forum (Right here) we will come up with, and email out the room number and time. This event should run for between two and three hours depending on how many people turn out.
If you have any thoughts, questions or sarcastic remarks please drop by the forum and let us hear them. We will do our best to get back to you and give you what you want.
