Hi Nerds,
for casual Magic do you guys play with particularly structured decks or are they just random? Since I'm new to the game would you recommend buying something like the Deck Builder's Toolkit (http://www.amazon.com/Magic-Gathering-Card-Builders-Toolkit/dp/0786955651/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=toys-and-games&qid=1289626527&sr=8-1) or go to the Sunday night draft? How much is the cost? By the way, do you still have those Sunday night drafts, and how do you RSVP for it? Drafting is where all the players construct a deck from scratch by passing around a booster pack in sequence, right?
Thanks for any info,
Adam

Magic happens on Tuesday and thursday, I do not think we are running sunday drafting right now. I would think that the deck builders tool kit is a good thing to start with, as that is what it is for, starting.
A lot of our players would also be more than glad to help, and likely give you a few cards if you came out and asked for help starting out.

Hi, Adam.
When I first started to play Magic, I didn't buy a deck. Instead, I just used the decks that people let me borrow for a few games (at casual magic, people bring several decks). I think this is a good place for you to start so you can get a feel for your own play-style.
Once you have a sense of what kind of decks/colour(s) you like, then you should look into a pre-made deck.
But that's just my opinion. Best of luck!
Steve
