I'm going to play him as tesla: after coming on hard times he was attempting to salvage his reputation by making a device that could transmit electrical current through the air. Lightning struck the tower as he was configuring it and he fell, never to be seen again. Across the ocean, he materialized in his home in austria or serbia.. As The Spark, with no memory of his former life but an intense hatred for lightbulbs and the name edison.
he spent a bunch of time in energy form moving about the world until he became self aware and materialized as above, both transporting him through time to the present and causing his amnesia. He'll slowly regain his memory (creating and inventing skills will be the only things bought with pp), and eventually realize he have to travel back in time to cause the lightning strike that created him.

Hmmn. A point of note. We have a lightning guy, and a sonic guy.
The Chameleon will have a set of Fire/Water/Earth/Air forms as one of the first things I set up, due to this wonderful funderful thematic consistency.

I think it'll be cool to try the technomancer/machine priest trope as well. Tesla can talk to his legs..
We could use a telepath. Or an alien.

Tesla will bring the lightning, Loud-mouth will bring the thunder, and Chameleon will bring the traditional 4. Hm.....now if we have a magic user, a telepath, a Nightcrawler (teleporter and acrobat/escape artist), a Batman type investigator and a brute, we'll be ready for almost anything.
Tesla might need to set aside some points for absorbing electricity and for speaking other languages....unless you want him to only know his mother tongue and no English.
Might as well share how Loud-mouth (ugh.....I wish I could come up with a better name) is going to be played: Ron Robertson is an X-man's mutant. His powers began their manifestation right after his voice dropped. He had great difficulty controlling his new, destructive voice and spent hours shouting at the top of his lungs trying to get rid of it. However, this only caused it to get more powerful, as the muscles causing the power were getting an intense and thorough workout. Thankfully, this exercise allowed him to gain some control over his voice, and after growing comfortable with it he continued his 'workouts', curious to see how strong his voice could get. A few years later, the second part of his mutation (his exceptionally keen hearing) manifested. Unfortunately, due to how his mutant physiology worked, the second part of his mutation also stopped him from gaining a more refined control of his powers (specifically, the development of the part of his brain not found in normal humans that controlled his voice stopped so that the part of his brain devoted to hearing could develop properly). The final part of his mutation (small anatomical and physiological adjustments that rendered him immune to any damaging or impairing sonic effects) came in the late stages of puberty and was accompanied by a dramatic increase in the strength of his powers. Ron considers it fortunate that the final stage of his mutation manifested when it did; his voice had always bounced back and hit him but before that it had never been powerful enough to do real damage.
In addition to the normal issues of growing up, Ron had to deal with the fear of accidentally hurting someone with his powers and/or being found out as a mutant. His world fears mutants; unlike other kinds of supers, they could be anyone, no one has a leash on them and they're surprisingly common. What Ron needed was an expy of Xavier's Institute: a place where he could live among mutants, learning to control his powers without fear of persecution. Unfortunately, there is no such institute in his world. If asked the right questions, Ron will reveal that he has accepted that mutantism will always have a stronger presence than other forms of bigotry, and perhaps it is even justified. However, he intends to see an institute for mutants created before he dies, even if he has to find the staff and fund it himself. Now that he has a superhero persona, he will wield his newfound influence by making public appearances at events for mutant rights. If he gets on a talk show, he'll mention mutant rights and give some messages for any mutants watching.
Ron's great-grandfather was Roger Robertson, the original Loud-mouth. He possessed powers identical to Ron's, and worked with scientists to produce a material that could not be damaged by sound. One of the particularly creative scientists developed a suit of this material that allowed Roger to harness the power of his own voice bouncing back at him to fly. This suit proved invaluable to the Allies when the second world war broke out; Roger fought in the Battle of Britain and made an impressive number of kills as Loud-mouth. Although his was superior to any airplane of his day as an air to air fighter, he could not break the sound barrier and was ultimately slain by a Nazi ubermensch who could. Ron learned of this and managed to obtain the repaired outfit. Just as he learned to control his powers on his own, he learned to fly with a lot of practice and using notes from the creator of the suit. He found it a more pleasurable way to exercise his powers than just shouting at rocks and flew frequently in late puberty. In his flight, he chanced upon several crimes, some of which were being committed by supervillains. Seeing as he already the powers and the suit, Ron decided he might as well be a superhero and stopped the criminals, becoming somewhat of a local celebrity. It was this that lead to him being found and summoned by Captain Prime.

Ooohs. I like. Applause.
Well, I'd just like to state that I'm as ready as I can get and am available whenever we want to start this.
Based on my reading of the above few demonstrations, I would think the morphic power would probably have a point cost between 20-40 including mitigation.
I ask everyone more versed with these rules than I what seems reasonable for it.

Looking through the powers there is Mimic, Adaptation, Enhanced Ability, Boost, Growth, Morph, Shapeshift and Transform. So playing your idea there jesse, should be easy enough.

And let's not forget Nemesis, which is Adaptation to enemies instead of environments.
If you're looking to be a purely mental character, then you might be able to fill our 'telepath' slot.
Alright, let's look at everyone's origins: Tesla: Laboratory Accident/Product of Super-science Loud-mouth: Natural Mutant* Chameleon: Could be a Mutant, an Alien, A Product of Super-science or Magical Mind Guy: Might be a Cosmic being, might be a mutant who evolved beyond a physical form, but in the end it ultimately boils down to Psionics.
*Natural mutant meaning that there was no laboratory accident, excessive exposure to radioactivity/unusual substances or deliberate genetic manipulation, he was just born that way. He may be more 'natural' than other natural mutants, since the gene providing his powers was present in previous generations before Hiroshima when worldwide radioactivity levels rose, albeit it was never activated in the previous 2 generations, possibly because it is triggered by the presence of a specific ordinary gene.

I finalized my character a bit, gave his drain power the alternate of nullify electricity. He's not powerful enough yet to store energy in his body, he uses the capacitor for now.
I put forward that our base of operations could be tesla's Wardenclyffe Tower, in new york.
For Chameleon, maybe he could use adaption and a dna sampler device? It just depends on what you focus on, whether it's mimicing others powers or simply adjusting/adapting your own.
I can't wait to convince a "great metallic beast" to fly me somewhere.. With comprehend machines, data link, and computers skill I'm basically an omnissiah. Electric jesus wooo.. Also one his larger motivations is making a time machine and a robot defense force

HQ are a thing you can make ... but they cost points. Also they totally blew up Wardenclyffe Tower while the man was still walking about didn't they?
Anyway, if you guys want to make a hide as part as character generation that is cool, though for free you will get the damaged remains of what was once the old League of Defence 's HQ. So it will have no special things, just a building that has been slap dash repaired and all the baddies know where it is,.... though it is at least in Prime City.

Right now I have nothing but free time more often than not. I'd like Wednesdays, maybe 5 till we want to quit for the night. I know that works for Jesse, me, Ash, seemingly you, and likely stev if he wants to join us.
What about Mark?

I won't be around until school starts, though it won't break my heart if you start without me. Just keep me up to date on the shenanigans and tell me how many powerpoints the other guys have racked up by the time I get in and I'll distribute them as I please. As for the school year, I won't have my schedule until August.

Oh, looking back if we want kyzo to be a part of this, we are looking at Tuesday instead... and that works for me.
