(These numbers may change)
Today, after your mission you find a strange new machine in the main room of the fortress. This machine has a crystal you can place your hand on. When you do so it speaks to your mind and gives you the chance to change what you've learned, to change what you are. It drains your XP and in exchange allows you to trade things like a feat for a diffrent feat, or rearrange your skill ranks.... at the below costs.
XP trade in rates The idea is simple, you pay the XP cost, and trade a X for a new X. So a skill rank in Climb can be traded for a skill rank in Swim if you wanted.... or trade the Dodge feat for Power Attack.
Skill Points: There are no special rules for skills. Cost -5xp
Feats: You can not trade out a feat that you need as a prerequisite to a class/feat you have. You can not trade out a feat a DM granted you as a reward. Cost - 80xp
Spells/Powers Known: Spells known may only be retrained in to spells of the same or lower level. You may never trade up. Cost - 15xp
Class Levels: This is not cheap, and is not to be done often. The idea is simple, you can never retrain a level if you need that level to get in to something you have. (Ex: You can not trade your only level of rouge out for a level of fighter, if you have a feat that says you must have sneak attack.) Cost- 500xp

You can take cross class skills, but they are just that.... cross class so they cost double.

What happens if I retrain a cross class rank? You get both points back.
You are given XP by DM's as a reward... not all of them give it out. The minimum right now is 20xp total... as most missions so far had a min of 0.

Ability scores can not be traded in. The system was broke. May add it back in later with a fix.
