This thread is so I can report what happened in my games, players feel free to add if you were on of my PCs on any given day. I doubt I will use this often as I do not plan on DMing much, however if I do it will be with the Brass Embassy in the Neutral City. Brass Embassy: This large brass building is in fact home to many otherworldly creatures. They are devils, the fiends of Lawful Evil, and while many would like to burn the building down and chase them out, well... one does not simply burn out devils. The Embassy controls and restricts the devils actions, binding them to local law and forcing them to report entry, as well as declaring any souls they bought, it does however give them an open door to the mortal world, and some level of safety from rouge paladins. 90% of the staff are not full blooded devils, but lesser fiends, tiefling, or half fiends, only the highest ranking are true devils. From time to time the Embassy's leader gets a spot on the Counsel of Twelve granting the embassy greater power. They are currently lead by a Phistophilus (Contract Devil), by the name of Alistair, who even now is actively seeking a way to join the twelve. Crystal Embassy: Created in the last hours before the neutral city stood the Crystal Embassy is the home of the Lawful Good forces of Celestia's Archons. The building itself is an astounding sight, built of a single massive piece of sea foam green semi transparent crystal that seems to give off it's own soft warm light. The building houses dozens of Harbinger and Lantern archons, the least servants of Lawful Good who while not allowed to harm anyone they are happy to create light that will never fade, or protection from evil for any who need it. It is also home to a dozen hound archon, they hunters and warriors of the heavens, who act as guards here. Lastly it is packed with refugees and those who would seek aid. Unlike the Brass Embassy there is no cost to the aid of the Crystal Embassy, however they will turn away those who are Evil. Often the Embassy will lead folks down the path of Lawful Good, but there is no contract. The whole thing is under the control of the Trumpet Archon, Amitiel (as seen below) She is known to be a being of great power, beauty and kindness. She is in many ways diplomat, and humanitarian with a deep love of music and art who has been trained for war and leadership due to the need for her. Amitiel is a dear friend to Matilda Carebetter but while they both love peace and hate the ugliness of war this archon will willing wade waist deep in to a blood melee swinging her two hand sword cleaving the heads from her foes if she sees a need for it.

So, that happened.
Rewards: If they go LG each of them slides one step closer to LG, gain a +2 Insight bonus to Diplomacy and Sense Motive and the Crystal Embassy is now a thing, but the Brass Embassy is pisssseedddddd.
What went down
The party is told to gather in one of the guilds many meeting halls, there is a small fire place a few seats and snacks set out. Oddly there is also a raven hanging out muttering to itself, it quickly takes a liking to the fighter. There they are made to wait for a a short time before the doors burst open scaring the raven, and a pair of bearded devils enter the room, flank the doors and stand at attention.
The doorway fills with the powerful figure of Mr. Crowley as he steps in to the room with a twisted grin. He gives them a little mock bow and shuts the doors behind him. It is at this point the room seems to go cold, and the lights dim ever so slightly.
Alistair takes a seat and looks up at them. “So, as it turns out there has been a slight change in the local law of late. The Neutral City now allows the Brass Embassy to hire your little guild to aid in it's actions. More over, it can now also form contracts with it's members so long as they do not go against any guild laws.” He pauses to let that sink in and any questions to be asked. “You see, there is a problem though. Not everyone on the council of twelve is happy about this change and in fact one of them is actively seeking to prevent this change. That bothersome dried up old paladin, miss Carebetter is doing her damnedest to shut the whole thing down. I am not allowed to act against her here, nor are any devils as part of the deal that allows the Embassy itself. This is where you come in.”
It is at this point where Alistair tells them to go to Miss Carebetter and take her up on the mission she is putting together, and purposely fail at it. They are told that she is trying to gather helpers in another area of the guild and they need only walk over there. He then pulls out a hand full of strange brass coins with Infernal writing on one side, and a regal looking devil on the other. He hands out thirteen to each of them, and they are oddly warm, and remain warm. He says that these coins are the currency of the Embassy can be redeemed at a later date for favours and power.
With that the devil steps away from them and says to them. “If this fails, if you do not do as he says the Guild will lose power, and the Brass Embassy will become it's foe instead of it's friend in difficult times. I would ask you to think about that when you act today.” The Bearded devils open the doors for Alistair and the devil turns to leave, with his guards following him.
Matilda Carebetter is in fact in the room they were told she would be. She is pleased to see them and right away smiles brightly and sighs to herself. “Oh good, oh dearies. I am in need of your help rather keenly. I have troubling news you see, the Brass Embassy and all those fiendish things that live within, have found someway to get the major council powers to allow them access to the Guild and it's members.” She is clearly distraught by this and still finds the time to invite the party in to sit, and offers them tea that was prepared on the table. Then cookies, then milk and sugar.
Once that is set in place she sighs again and goes on. “I need your help for this. I am not aloud it stop them, the laws of the city forbid it, and I would not dare break those laws, and even if I were not so soon after the King's death, it would be a great dishonour to the poor man.” Again she sighs deeply and looks up at them. “I do have a plan though, a way to stop this evil from taking root to strongly. It is dangerous though, and you may even find yourselves at odds with some rather rough folks.” She pauses and asks if they would be willing to hear her out.
The plan is to send them to the vaults of the cities court. There they will make there way through 1500 years of legal documents, in to storage place of the highest laws, and most powerful contracts. They will need to find the Embassy Agreement, it will be guarded and only the king and Alistair have rights to enter the chamber.
Once inside they can make a copy of it (she gives them a scroll that will allow them to copy it in seconds). Once they have that copy they will need only bring it back to her, with it Miss Carebetter hopes to find a loop hole or block she can use, if not she is not sure of what to do.
Then things went sideways...
details on the crystal embassy later.

Just wanted to add that Alistair has promised to get the souls of the party involved in the creation of the Crystal Embassy. Matilda Carebetter has promised to do what she can to protect our souls and the souls of our family. I have officially made my first enemy in the world, and it is a scary devil. I will also be working on becoming stronger to take down this evil creature in the name of my god.

Having delivered aid to many, allowing the elves to set up and meeting with the dwarves the heroes of the day stolen the crown of the self titled 'King of Fort Rubble'. This sent the man in to a jealous, paranoid rage that ended with the deaths of many of the non dwarf that had joined him. Now dwarf patrols turn away or simply raid the refugees they find, and have cast out the good clerics and have kept the undead minions and those clerics who follow a darker path.
In the aftermath the party find out from Amitiel that the 'king' had sold his soul to the Brass Embassy for the power to feed his people with out aid from outside.
This has left the survivors few choices. Either live in the small under funded camp that Miss Carebetter is now supplying (at risk of giant raids), pledge to the elven crown or live alone fearing the dwarf forces as well as the ghosts who haunt the ruins.
Mitilida is now gathering what ever she can to form a more robust support effort and create an order of guards to protect and aid those poor people trapped in the ruins below.
Reports also state that Devil's have been spotted roaming the ruins, buying souls of the starving for as little as a meal and shoes, while stranger things crawl out of the earth.

Hmm. Well that didn't work out. Did we at least end up with the hat? Why is it so evil?
Edit: Also, what happened with those good dwarven clerics? Can we get them to help in the refugee camp?

The hat was taken and destroyed, but it's parts are still evil and in the fighters pack. They never figured out why it was evil, but they did learn hat the god never had a hat.
As for the LG, NG and LN clerics who walked out, the party never saw them... or any of the 'kings' evil acts only heard about them from others. It would be up to a later party or miss carebetter to get them, but she does not have the resources with so much to do on the golem city itself, the dwarf relief effort, and the great fire.... not to forget aiding those who suffer for the goros invasion... in fact if it were not for aid from the Crystal Embassy your not sure if the stress would out right kill the old girl.

Todays party was able to arrive at the refugee camp and meet with miss Carebetter. They then went out to deal with the hill giant bandit who was robbing folks by a bridge over lava. Turns out it was not a dual wielding giant in full plate after all, but six goblins working together.
After a ball kicking, trip crazed and bit dirty fight the heroes won! but not before the samurai lost his sword over the edge. To get it back the Dunmur paladin had to hang off the edge by 100ft of rope over lava to fetch it. By the grace of the cleric's mending spell, and a lot of luck, he got it and lived.
After reporting in, they used their time to help out, healing and mending at the camp before going out once mroe to hunt down goblins... this time where they live.
This went poorly. After a very ugly start the party got the upper hand and asides from a few nasty swarms they beat back the goblins. They took one alive, one got away and they saved all the halfling farmers that were kidnapped.
With no more thieves running about, and the minor raids at an end the camp is now much safer and well fed. It is starting to look like it maybe a good place that is saving lots of lives.
Each PC earned an influence for there good sportsmanship and suffering through my like 8 bathroom breaks with out complaining once.
Also you fools missed the chance to have goblin allies and broke the goblin totems so you get Favoured Enemy Goblin +1 and nothing more! Mahahahaha

Amitiel will be sending a group to fetch a very powerful item, a sort of shield that will protect New Hope from harm. Out of spit Alistair will try and stop them. I will be lending the PC's a handful of awesome magical items for this mission. Then at the end I will offer one copy of each to sell at the guild, however the players from that mission have dibs. Master's Bulwark Description: This tall, heavy, black tower shield is emblazoned with glowing silver runes across it's front, sides and back. The runes are celestial and read out as a hymn of protection, defense and aid. The shield itself is overly bulky and while well made seems to be much heavier than others of it's kind. Stats: This 80 pound +2 Addy Tower Shield functions normally except when used to provide cover. When placed firmly touching the ground as a standard action, normally a tower shield would provide the holder with full cover but in this case the shield enlarges to form a perfect 30ft wide by 15ft tall vertical wall. It will conform to local limitations and will not push with more than one pound of force. Once in place the wall weights 15,000 pounds and is secured in place unable to tip easily. Any damage done to the wall should be treated as dealt to the shield. If the wall is some how knocked over it will return to it's normal state, this can also be done if the shield is released. (This means no crushing with it)Ivy BladeDescription: A living blade forged of plant matter.Stats: This weapon acts as a +1 Wounding Bastard Sword with the following properties. While wielding this weapon the owner takes 1 point of bleed damage each round with weapon is drawn. This weapon deals no damage to Plant creatures. The wielder may use Burst of Nettles (CL 10, DC 16) as a spell-like ability at will, doing so deals points of 10 damage to them. MisaraDescription: th06.deviantart.net/fs5/PRE/i/2004/364/8/b/Pole_axes___not_really_by_Wen_M.jpg]The Right Most Image Stats: This +1 Quenching greataxe deals only nonlethal damage to creatures with out the Fire Subtype, and even than only half damage to Good Creatures. Once per day for 10 min, on request (free action) the ax head will animate leaving the haft inanimate water. It will speak with and obey whom ever holds the shell, though it will not commit evil acts. The creature has the stat block of a Good water mephit. Phoenix of LightDescription: As TitledStats: This item takes both the bracer and glove slot of the right hand. While worn this item bestows the wearer with a glow no unlike Dancing Lights, in the form of blue-green wings. The wearer gains the Good and Glory Domains treating their character level as their cleric level for the granted powers. 3lbs. Mithral WingsDescription: As seen worn by this rather grim fellow.Stats:This set of silver wings can be affixed to the body of any medium sized humanoid. These wings grant the wearer Flight 30ft (poor), and when not in flight two Wing attacks at a -5 penalty to hit, that deal 1d4+half strength mod damage. 80lbs.

Hey Nygil, I would like to sell back the plain, unassuming, indestructible leather boots for the 10 000 gold. Didn't realize the wonderous items list got bumped up and I've got something else I need the money for...
