To be fair, I'm pretty sure I heard there was nothing Dane could do about Alastair dying. Sounds to me like they were talking, the 3 armed alchemist fighter went all hulk on his ass and did an obscene amount of damage, resulting in Alastair's death...

He killed the embassy as well, as devils can't even die in the real world, they just get banished back to hell for a bit.

the answer is simple, carebetter becomes the big nasty, it would be perfect considering how much power she has. Not so much sense, as she was put in a coma by assassins on sunday.

I see, I was unaware of that, however I have an idea, when/if she wakes up make her either evil or way more tyrannical, so that any non-good person is a criminal or something like that (traumatized by the assassination attempt or whatever), so that there is no choice but to take her down, even her supporters are backing that plan and bam, you have a new big nasty to replace alistair. Im not overly familiar with the entire scheme of the campaign world so thats the best suggestion i got. if it doesnt fit, it doesnt fit, you guys will figure something out.

Nope, I just will not DM. They have their own big bads, the other DMs. Miss Carebetter will remain pure and untainted by the darkness of this world.

Though I do feel a bit bad for Nygil in losing all his NPC in one day, when I asked Nygil to take out Carebetter the end goal was to grant Alistair more power (another one of Nygil's NPC). I was trying to empower a bit more evil in the world since the council seemed either good or neutral.
I am happy to hear she will remain untainted though sadden to see Nygil no longer DM. I had him a couple of times and I thoroughly enjoy his missions. Especially pissing off Alistair. Having a intelligent evil being to face-off with brought me great delight.

Yeah as it stands most of the evil in the world are the PCs, and I was really starting to like Alistair.

I think its safe to say we fucked up more than one campaign overall. Using we to mean the PCs i dont think ive been a part of a campaign that the PCs fucked up.

+1 to Carebetter. Because if everything's going to hell, I'd at least want a little old hafling lady being the most powerful person available.
