Guild ask the adventures to check up on a Wizard who is a large supplier of magical goods for the guild. They were sent to Wizard's tower to investigate.
Once inside they fought Negative Energy elementals, intimidated bugbears, walked through a maze full of traps, befriended a ice golem, stole books from the wizard's library, encountered some bearded devils and a Fury before finding the wizards at the top of the tower.
When they finally meet the wizard, he was unconscious and unresponsive. Also, once they broke into the wizard's chamber they unexpectedly also let in the assassin who had be after him. After the assassins poisoned the wizard, they kept the heroes distracted long enough to ensure the wizard died. Taking the wizard's body to Amitiel.
Amitiel thanks the adventures for their attempt in rescuing the wizard. He was an old friend of hers and is commonly known as the wizard. He was currently working on a way to alter the magical stability of a area to enhance a person's capabilities. She assumes Dravis was interested in this in order to gain more power but when realized he couldn't get it from him chose to kill him instead.

Hey, you also looked for a book on magic. So you can chose either arcane or religion.

Alright, Ill pick arcane because knowledge arcana comes up way more often, also one final thing, since I didnt stay to the end do I still get that gem of random power? I assume i do because it was so near the end but just wanted to check before I add it to my character sheet.

Yes you do. I just knocked you unconscious once you left to take you out of the final combat. Afterwards, your guy was there for the resolution and gem grabbing.

It was a good mission by the way, may have needed a bit of tweaking in the flavour text but overall was pretty fun.

PC: M'aias (Scott), Lem (Robert), Sylvie (Emily) and Gaeis (Alex)
After Jason (the good looking cleric) bursts into the guild asking for help, these adventures join him in protecting Matilde from an assassination attempt. As they find Matilde in the Council chambers, they are quickly joined in by Dravis. As the assassins poison Matilde, Jason opens a portal to the Limbo plane and takes Matilde with him.
The party quickly follows him and the portal is closed behind them. After treating her for the poison, the adventures start to become suspicious about Jason. They hide out in his laboratory when they are discovered by Dravis.
After an unnecessarily complicated escape plan, the adventures manage to bring Matilde back to the Guild (though she was poisoned once again). On the way to the Crystal Embassy, the adventures realize that Jason does not have a guild ring, and Lem using True Seeing to discover that Jason is actually a shape shifter. After a relentless assault by M'aias, the imposer escapes leaving M'aias cursed.
Once the adventures bring Matilde to the embassy, she is quickly taken away and assisted. Unfortunately, it appears as though Matilde is seriously weakened by the poison and unable to wake up from her sleep.
+1 influence to M'aias, Lem and Sylvie.
M'aias, your cursed was removed for free by one of the healers in the crystal embassy for free.
As a thank you from Amitiel for keeping Matilde alive she gives you guys the following items.
M'aias - Bandanna of Endless Assault - 1/day when you charge you can do a full attack instead of a standard attack
Sylvie - Sparkling Gloves - 2/day you can cast a touch spell with a range of 30ft
Lem - Lemur Hat - Once per day you can double the damage of one rolled magical attack, or you can automatically succeed at any one SR check.
Gaias - Champion's Scarf - 1/day after you heal yourself with lay on hands, you can add that much holy damage to your next attack.

I'm guessing I'd have to declare if I double damage before I roll for damage, right?
Also, Can I still have my headband on if I wear this hat?

Hey
You do not have to declare it before you attack. This means that when you fail a SR value you can be like no, I pass. Or if you get a good roll and want to double it you may. This idea does not occupy any slots. The other ones I gave out don't, or nor does yours. I just thought it was amusing to give you a hat in the shape of a lemur head.

Haha, "Bandanna of Endless Assault", nice! We'll see who's laughing next time that shapeshifter shows up. There's only enough room for one bad-ass ninja in this city...
