Born and raised in the city of Freemark, Leonardo soon made a name for himself as an inventor, craftsman, and scholar. When he felt that he had learned all he could from within the bustling city, Leonardo began a journey that would take him the remainder of his life. Traveling from country to country, Leonardo was exposed to a seemingly infinite number of cultures, religions, and ways of thought.
With every stop he plied his trade, making and selling those goods in highest demand. Usually he accepted money for his work, but sometimes his customers offered knowledge in exchange, something Leonardo valued far more. In this way Leonardo's expertise grew, until he soon found his reputation preceding him.
Whenever he found a city particularly to his liking, Leonardo would settle down for a few years. During this time he would offer to take on students and spread his knowledge to others. By the time the inventor began to feel the old wanderlust again many of the shops and forges in the city would invariably display a silver cog above their door, the symbol of a craftsman trained by Leonardo.
It was during a particularly long stop that Leonardo found himself in the unexpected position of being a father. It seemed that life had finally caught up to Leonardo and he decided to settle down once and for all. For five years he lived in the city of Rivermet with his wife Chandra and his daughter Cecilia, refining his skills and teaching them to those with talent.
This was not to last however, and the relationship between Leonardo and Chandra soured. Many of the craftsmen in the city saw Leonardo as a threat to their own prosperity and with Chandra's help the succeeded in getting Leonardo banished from the city on false charges of smuggling and extortion. Leonardo was given till morning to gather his belongings and leave, but in the end he got the last laugh on his wife. He left in the dead of night, and took their daughter with him.
Leonardo returned to his old lifestyle and for the last 15 years has traveled the world in search of ever greater knowledge. Cecilia quickly developed a knack for her fathers talents, but has also shown an aptitude in wilderness craft and combat abilities that her father never possessed. Her skills as both a craftsman and in dealing with bandits and other criminals has made her a very valuable companion to her father for many years now.

Absent Minded, Focused, and the feat Heroic Destiny (Races of Destiny)
Don't forget to pick Noble, Merchant, Commoner as well as Farm Boy or City Slicker as listed in the first post.
Peasant: You are granted the Endurance feat from a hard life, as well as a +1 bonus on the Profession of your choice... as you grew up working towards some job.
Merchant: Due to always being taught how to talk, and deal you gain the Negotiator feat and get a +1 bonus on all appraise checks.
Noble: Having grown up in a softer life you had the chance to learn much more than others did, you gain the Skill Focus (knowledge of your choice) feat, and a +1 bonus on gather information checks.
Each PC chooses either 'city slicker' or 'farm boy' and gains the below based on which.
City slickers, having been raised close to people in the 'press of things' have a few skills that others may not. Disguise, Forgery, Gather Information, and Knowledge (local) are always class skills for you.
Farm boys, those raised outside of the cities gain a different set of skills however. Knowledge (Nature), Climb, Swim, and Handle Animal are always class skills.

Going with merchant and city slicker, also moved a few skill points around for better synergy. My +20 diplomacy mod is bringing back some gooooood memories.

Hey guys,
I'm beginning to think it might be a bridge too far for me to play the low magic game on Thursday. I think I'm going to have to bow out for this week. Sorry about that!

I'm almost done with my char, but I'm also having second thoughts about playing another dwarf fighter [complete with 10 ranks in jump].
Granted, this Krunkules The Magnificent has far more depth [and far more intelligence at 16 for that matter] than the previous one so I just don't know...
