After 4 weeks with no games, I'm looking forward to tonight.
Interesting conversation I had on Atomic Think Tank: I find RAW Reflective(ranged attacks) to be something that breaks my suspension of disbelief. I came up with the idea of taking it with the Unreliable flaw to make it a net +0 modifier. The end result is that ranged attacks are reflected, but only in the attacker's general direction as determined by some mechanic. Another guy suggested using the Uncontrolled flaw instead, so that the GM determines what the reflected attack hits, if it hits anything important. The latter is really just an agreement that lets the player use more dramatic descriptors and gives the GM more opportunities to generate Complications. I'm leaning towards it because I haven't come up with any mechanics for reflection direction.
Just something to think about.
.....we are having a game tonight, right? Considering that it's in 3 hours, this thread has been ghostly quiet.
Come on guys, somebody post in here just to confirm that the game's happening, I'm starting to get freaked out.

Donovan Dorit
Looks: Dressed in a trench coat, el-diablo suit and black leather gloves this tall man is a foreboding figure. He looks like a powerful man and holds himself as one. Donovan has no fear or doubt in his actions and seems to be driven to near madness by his cause. His actions are flowing and smooth, as if he were conducting with his every move.
Story: Donovan was a good man once. His latent mutant gift was hidden and due to this he was able to live a normal life. His family were of money, though a hateful anti-mutant people. Donovan grew up driven, told to be something or go die. He archived well enough, and in time became a noted investment banker. He found love, and even had a young son.
His son was not as lucky. At 8 the boy developed a mutant gift of his own, his was more notable and could not be so well hidden. The boys mother did not take well to this and tried to hide the boy, to 'cure' him and in time grew to hate the child.
This 'charmed' life came to an end when a group of anti mutant thugs broke in to the house to thrash the boy and his 'gene joke loving family'. Donovan fought to protect his son, and was struck down, but from that act his power was unleashed, years of pent up rage, hate and loathing burst forth and the house was torn asunder. In the aftermath the boy was found dead, and the attackers as well.
Donovan 's wife left him, blaming him for everything and this includes their son's 'illness'. Broken, hateful and alone Donovan found himself cast out by his family, cut off from his money and no longer able to work. At this time he found Prof Y, and was taken in to the man's school for mutants. Here he was taught use of his powers and of the superiority of mutant kind. Donovan has become a weapon wielded by Y against those who would oppose his plans

4 power points and 5 wealth....
Well, I technically haven't bought Immunity(Aging) yet, so I guess I need to pick that up, unless Nygil will say it's part of immunity to Trait alteration and let it slide. As for the other points, I'm not sure whether to buy Immovable with Nygil's Unstoppable, Super-strength and Speed or if I should just start paranoidly saving powerpoints for level-up.
Now, those 20 equipment points....I'm giving the truck an anti-aircraft gun: Rank 10 Blast, Autofire 1, Limited to Aerial targets. The next time we get into a chase scene with a vertibird, things will go very differently.
I checked the Book of Magic, and it has a cheaper alternative to giving the base ranks in Regeneration:
Since the game ended with me being sent back to the 1940s, if anyone wants anything cool from the past 140 years they'd like to spend their Wealth on, we now have a means for it to be plausible.

Among other things, we ran into our old friend Facilier. Apparently, his plan to get rid of me, should he ever need to, was to build a gun that sent me to another time. Nygil rolled some dice, and got backwards, in decades, specifically 14 of them. Gatling MegaBolter. (Equipment 40) {Full Power : Lethal} Blast 10 [Piercing]{Autofire 3, Penetrating 1} Blast 10 [Concussive] {Autofire 3} Blast 10 [Explosive] {Autofire 3} How did you get this down to 40 equipment points? 2 per rank blast plus 3 Autofire is 5 per rank. Unless limited to lethal damage is a flaw, not a drawback. Anyhow, if you'd be willing to give up your 20 wealth points, I'd gladly equip one.

That thing was made Looong before I had the books.
Let me re-deem myself with it done up proper real quick now.
Equipment: Heavy Bolter 20ep (4pp)
Blast 10 [Piercing, Concussive] {Full Round Action to Fire, Side-Effect [Heavy Recoil]}{Autofire 1, Penetrating 13, Linked} Linked Strike 5 [Explosive, Shrapnel]{Area[Cone]}{Indirect [Impact Point]}{Reduced Area 4 [10ft Cone] (-2)}
Heavy Recoil {Always On Use (-2 Flaw)}[Targets User] Blast 5 [Vibration] {Penetrating} Stun 3 {Penetrating}
Drawbacks: Obvious (Auditory, Thermal)(-1)
Equipment: Gatling Megabolter 60ep (12pp)
Blast 15 [Piercing, Concussive] {Full Round Action to Fire, Side-Effect [Heavy Recoil]}{Autofire 3, Penetrating 12, Linked} Linked Strike 10 [Explosive, Shrapnel]{Area[Cone]}{Indirect [Impact Point]}{Reduced Area 6 [40ft Cone] (-3)}
Heavy Recoil {Always On Use (-2 Flaw)}[Targets User] Blast 5 [Vibration] {Penetrating} Stun 10 {Penetrating}
Drawbacks: Obvious (Auditory, Thermal)(-1)

Why would you ever need 13 points of penetration? Other than injuring myself, of course. Even a tank only has 6 Impervious Toughness, I doubt that the vertibird is going to have 11 or more Impervious Toughness.
Tell you what, I'll take it, I'll modify it so that it's a more efficient anti-aircraft gun and I'll mount it on the truck:
Blast 10 [Piercing, Concussive] {Full Round Action to Fire, Side-Effect [Heavy Recoil], Limited (aerial targets), Distracting}{Autofire 3, Accurate 4, Improved Range 3, Concealed Weapon, Linked} Linked Strike 5 [Explosive, Shrapnel]{Area[Cone]}{Indirect [Impact Point]}{Reduced Area 4 [10ft Cone] (-2)}
Heavy Recoil {Always On Use (-2 Flaw)}[Targets User] Damage 5 [Vibration] {Penetrating} Stun 3 {Penetrating}
Drawbacks: Obvious (Auditory, Thermal)(-1)
There, now it has a range increment of 1000 feet. I sure hope those LASH commandos know how to take a fall....

I would recommend spending a bit more in order to have the gun hidden inside the truck most of the time. Otherwise you're not going to be able to drive it without instantly drawing attention

without instantly drawing attention Why would we ever want that? The Indomitable is the best stealth party teammate in the world. Absolutely nobody is a better distraction.
