ive been trying to find something apropriate for killing countless innocent civilians. So the three that did that i will know by start time today. For the one of you that gave up the endowment you get the feat "False pretenses" from unearthed arcana page 93.

the three of you who participated in the slaughter ended up covered head to toe in the blood of innocent civilians. when you returned to the ship you did your best to try to wash it all off but in the end, despite your best efforts there are still noticeable blood stains covering your clothes. (emphasis on noticeable, everyone who sees you will see these blood stains) Blood stained clothes: anyone that sees you can't help but fear you (or respect you), as such, you gain a +1 to AC and +2 to intimidate against sentient beings. Your blood stained clothing must be clearly visible to gain this benefit. This is a property of your clothing so if you get different armor or clothes the effect is lost.

Alarms are going off all over, the reactor is losing power and about to explode, the automatic controls have been destroyed but still it can be aimed manually. The knight eternal performs a few last second adjustments to the cannon's aiming, then the cannon begins to fire just as someone appears beside him. But it doesn't matter the mortal can't possibly figure out how to work the controls he figures, so the knight eternal takes off and heads for his ship. You, having just teleported in, look at the controls, but before you can make a move to try to figure it out, you look up. in the sky is a familar face. Squee.... The next thing you see (aside from apocalyptic destruction) is the inside of the ship. All of you are now looking down at the planet from the windows of the ship and see the military base you died in just seconds ago erupt in a cataclysmic explosion over a hundred miles accross. But not before the ships that were docked there have taken off, and not before the cannon you were sent there to stop was able to fire at the ship. The massive beam of energy heads straight for the ship. The ship tries to move, to get to another system, away from the incoming assault but just before it is able to the beam strikes it. Immediately The entire ship powers down, it is pitch black and silent. It's a few minutes before a few core systems come online again, but the ship is still mostly offline and an assault is on it's way.
Reward: minimum gold and exp. and for failing so spectacularly, you each get a copper coin which once a week when you roll a 1, you can toss the coin as a free action. on a heads you can reroll the 1, on a tails you get the worst possible result from that 1. (as if you rolled 2 confirming 1's essentially)

for the game on the 25th: 4000g, 250 exp, Dane: shard of the engine: 1/day, target you can see must use the wild magic rules when casting spells for 1 minute.
Ryan: Spirit naga's charm(slotless), 1/day swift action, re-roll a failed save against a charm or compulsion effect with a +4 bonus. you can use this despite any charm or compulsion effects on you. If you would kill an ally against your will under a charm or compulsion effect, that effect immediately breaks, and the ally you would have killed is left at -9 hit points.
everyone else: ring of arcane subtlety: 1/day (swift) the next spell you cast is a silent or still spell (even if you don't have the feat). This increases the cast time to a full round action, but cannot increase it beyond a full round.

summary of final scene and setup for the next mission(for any curious about how it happened):
After eliminating the evil wizard turned fire elemental, the lava goes away and you ascend to the final floor of his tower, where you find the evil book you were sent to bring to the clerics for cleansing (or to the hag if you so chose). Flint informs you that the book appears to contain the soul of an ancient and powerful wizard.
Then the circle of protection from evil ends and you each hear a mad voice in your head, "Take me!" it whispers. 2 of you dismiss the voice as madness, but you see the others' faces change subtly, and they go for the book. -> inter-party combat struggling for the book Suddenly to your surprise in the center of the room reappears the huge elemental of it's previous owner, its obvious he wants the book, and may just kill you if he doesn't get it. but in his current form he can't touch the book or else he risks causing some damage to it. One of the two still-mad party members (the fighter) grabs the book and runs down the ramp, but stops shortly when he comes to the rising lava. The ranger (also mad) blocks off his passage back to the top floor and prepares to fire. -> (terrible terrible will saves) fighter gets killed, ranger grabs the book and runs. In the time the others were working on an escape, you cant teleport inside to they blasted open a window. (btw flint had silent imaged the boss and it wasn't actually there.) So the party gathers at the window and the mad ranger jumps while the others aren't quite ready attempting to get away, but they follow out the window. The party grapples IN the AIR, but the ranger manages to evade their grip before activating feather fall, and the other party members continue to fall at full speed. Before teleporting to the ground before they hit. They look up at the ranger to see his hawk pulling him the short distance to the cliff face where the towers base sits 150 feet up. They go around to the only path that leads, up but get worried when they don't see him. After a quick search of the tower they find he's not there, and no one else could track him through the swampy forest that surrounds the tower for days in all directions. When you are teleported back to the ship (having failed to retrieve the book) you don't see him there either.
Loot: (For everyone but Colin) 3500g, 150 exp Ryan: Heart shaped trinket: having seen how often leaving you in charge of your own sanity has gone awry, the ship gives you a small trinket telling you to give it to someone you trust to make your decisions for you. You can give this item to another player to hold onto, while it is in their possession you use their will save against charm and compulsion effects. However that person will have a constant lesser charm effect active on you. The possessor of this charm can choose to make an opposed charisma check in order to influence you (similar to suggestion, but with restrictions like charm person) as an extraordinary ability on you. (any bonuses that would apply to a save, apply to the charisma check instead)
peter and matt: Parachute: can be worn over armor, flat compact backpack. When used it has a 5% chance of failure. Takes 10 minutes to repack. Can be packed in 1 minute but has a 25% failure chance the next time it's used. pretty much gives feather fall when used until you land. unless it fails.... in which case it does not.

Here's a summary of what happened for the February 1 game, specifically what occurred after Brent left. The party faced down mashymre, who was still an arrow demon, on a small, sloped plateau outside his doomish fortress. Quin refused to cooperate with mashymre as he desired to have the powerful book for himself. Kasil Wished to destroy the book for the sake of destroying the book as he knew it was evil(although he didn't arrive until round 2 on account of being dead). Flint was simply following the orders he received from the ship to bring the book back to the priests. And Gorgon was being Gorgon.
Combat ensued, Quin summoned a zombie wyvern, Mashymre fired upon Flint and Quin, Flint used a wind wall spell thing to block mash's arrows, Gorgon used his tower shield and wings to advance up the slope. Kasil also attempted to make his way up the slope. Some more party combat occurred and Gorgon grappled Mash to disable him while the other party members made their way up the slope and casted debuffs on Mash. Gorgon attempted to pin mash but failed. Other stuff happened, rods of wonder were used to summon rain and grass, zombie wyverns flew around ect. ect. Mash used fearsome grapple, one of his spell like abilities (I gave it to him to make the encounter more fair and he still had the book at this point, don't judge me) and escaped by jumping off the mountain. Gorgon and Kasil jumped after him, with Gorgon using his wings to dive faster and wait for mash at the ground while Kasil effectively utilized his ring of featherfall to try and attack mash.
Mash shot arrows at gorgon while featherfalling while kasil attempted to attack him mid air. Quin was stuck with nothing to do on top of the mountain while Flint use his parachute to jump down after mash and the party. Flint blinded Mash to prevent him from damaging Kasil and Gorgon while they reigned attacks upon mash. In the end, Kasil managed to knock Mash out with his swords of manliness.
The party went down to the bottom of the mountain with the cleric from earlier, who declared that he could not remove the evil sorcerer from Mash and was forced to turn him back into his normal form with a split personality.
Side note: I think the party did a great job of beating Mash. I spread mash's attacks relatively evenly among all the characters so it wasn't too difficult and so fewer people would die(it was getting late anyway and it was only a matter of time until mash was defeated so I tried to speed things up). Anyway, Kasil, Gorgon, Quin and Flint did very well on the adventure, and special thanks to John for helping me DM and doing the math for my absurd number of attacks. As far as loot goes, it's completely up to you Brent. But yeah good job guys. One interesting thing to note is that the party didn't actually destroy the dark portal, so yeah, not entirely sure what that means plot wise.

If i was given time i would have beaten that portal to a pulp, also i would have taken those shiny shiny swords and suffered whatever hilarity that ensued.

Haha, oh yeah, the swords had an effect on them that forced you to kill your party members if you failed a will save(dc 24 I believe but don't quote me on that). Also if you're wondering how Mash's minion were able to track you guys, the retriever has an ability that lets it find someone if they have an item that belonged to them. A villager stole a gold coin from you when you slept at the inn. That's what the spot check was for and that's why Quin found a gold coin on the body of the retriever who was able to lead Mash's minions to you.
