Maitilde Carebetter: +1 (You did the right thing, dearies: no burning innocent farmers' houses. Saving people.) The Neutral King: +1 [-> Good] (Following the kings orders, but doing so in the most chaotic-good manner I have ever witnessed.) House Royale: -1 (Not collecting his taxes: or rather, collecting them, and then distributing the money to the farmers.) Tom Wulfe: [Secret Project 70% Complete] (RETRIEVE ALL THE ALCHEMICAL COMPONENTS!)

Illias died at the hands of Mixalaus, who then proceeded to die at the hands of kimzan aided by my players. Mixalaus had supported a representative named Doyle, when Mixalaus died [Colin's character who's name i can never remember] threw his support behind him (+2, and 1 from today's mission = 3).

Before the Upheaval: First Seat: House Royal Reagent [Jon] -1 Second Seat: Mixalaus (Bloodline: Hephaestus) [Brent] -1 Third Seat: Kimzhan (Malik of the Red Mantis) [Charles] +3 Fourth Seat: Rothschild (Merchant's Guild) [Jon] Fifth Seat: The Rotating Seat (Svirfneblin Exterminators) [Q] Sixth Seat: Mr. Ventris (On Behalf of his Master) [Sebastian] -2 Seventh Seat: Gleebones Lemontwigs [Liam] +2 Eighth Seat: Littlevoice (Druids of the Vale) [Jon] Ninth Seat: Ilias (Bloodline: Antaeus) [Brent] +2 Tenth Seat: Maitilde Carebetter [Nygil] +7 The Steward of Services: Tom Wulfe [Dane] +6 [70%] Eleventh Seat: Daewyn (Stewards of Hephaestus) [Brent] -1 Twelfth Seat: Karbaros (The Dirge) [Colin] +2 The Neutral King: Sigfried White-Raven [Dane] +1 [+1 Good] Gouros Emmisary: Vorus Eralon [Colin]
Major Political Upheaval: When word of Mixilaus’ death spreads and the second seat on the council is to be claimed, those claimants find Kimzhan already calmly seated on the dead man’s chair, smiling knowingly. The vacancy of Kimzhan’s chair is likewise filled by Maitilde Carebetter who offers some of her more astounded competitors a cup of tea and a disarming, grandmotherly smile – it seems this old woman is more capable than her appearance hints at. A minor alliance between Gleebones and Karbaros, in their mutual interest, lasts until the instant each is established in their new seat before devolving into pleasant interaction over tea: Gleebones has found that recently Karbaros is far more likeable and the two have struck up what could almost be called a friendship. This alliance forces Ventris to concede his seat, despite his wishes to maintain it: his recent political weakness has caused him to lose the support he would need to oppose such an alliance. Littlevoice, like the other Velen councillors, maintains her seat in the chaos while Mr. Ventris claims the seat vacated by Ilias. A newcomer, Doyle, absorbing many of the supporters of Mixilaus, claims one of the lower seats, despite having wished to take Mixilaus' more powerful position. Tom Wulfe and the Neutral King use this time of political turmoil to extend their influence and re-establish their powers respectively – most importantly the Neutral King passes an edict while the council is in conflict which grants him a vote on the council, and more importantly, the deciding vote on the council in the case of a tie, a privilege that had been lost only generations earlier. Daewyn stands resolute in his position, and Vorus Eralon of the Gouros is accepted as a lower member of the council, establishing his right by claiming his seat with a heavy armed guard. While the council manoeuvres, the Brass Embassy begins peddling favours, lawfully, and drastically increasing the reach of the organization. House Royal retains its place of power despite the political actions of other factions, and despite its recent weakening of political influence. The Merchant’s guild maintains its seat, but is implicated in several plots to place associates in higher seats, and rivals in lower. Nothing is proven. Many of those called upon to confirm these implications retire happily in richer areas of the city and offer nothing of use as witnesses. The rotating seat is likewise maintained and neither challenges or assists other political movements.

+1 to Gleebones Lemontwigs.
Thud - "Thud has never had such powerful opponent! Duel to death with minotaur chieftan...Memory is fuzzy on what happened near end, but Thud is alive, so thud must have won! Thud has Gleebones to thank for becoming stronger!"
