Also, Jon, there are no descriptions of your NPCs available: go to the Spend Influence thread, look at the ones that aren't described, then give me descriptions and I will put them up.

Oh ffs, I keep writing it up and keep not posting it. Armuil Rothschild; A scheming and ambitious half-elf son of the Rothschilds, the largest merchant family in Velen. He has plans to increase his families wealth and power, and is taking a much more active role in family affairs now that his father is growing older.
Littlevoice; This slender and graceful elf has probably the most wonderful singing voice you've ever heard, and always speaks in sing-song. She represents the Druids of the Vale for the Voice, who is the leader of her commune. She values nature and harmony. Also uses the royal we a lot.
Regent of Velen; A shorter and more cruel looking elf, his fortunes have only recently turned. When his brother, the king, died he took the reigns from the Queen when she was in her panic room. He now has approximately 65% control of the nobles of Velen, causing him to have a pretty decent case for remaining in charge of the country until the oldest Prince's birthday (later this year). Whether he will give up the crown is a separate matter entirely, and worries the Queen very much. He is a man quite similar to his brother, LN and very set in his ways; he has his own ethics and lets no one violate them.

Party did a lot of excellent communication and a little bit of combat.
Short story: The group ended up rescuing a Witch named Clayton from a power-hungry colonial dickhead named Roland and his surprisingly friendly colonists. The village itself contained roughly two hundred people (~80 locals and ~120 colonists), who had been co-existing for about twenty years. Roland had arrived a few years ago (accepted with open arms), and his takeover was planned over this period. He escaped the final conflict, and Kimzhan found and eliminated him (along with his allies).
Clayton works at the guild now, peddling wares (not valuable ones). He's currently just running favors for the party who remember him - probably one each.
Kimzhan gains a DM point. The PCs saved the day, rescued Clayton and everyone Kimzhan wanted dead ended up dead.
SECRET PART: Clayton was met by Kimzhan after the ordeal, and offered a reward. Clayton, being awesome, wished for his village to be safe from outside influence, or something. Kimzhan therefore granted the wish by permanently obfuscating the village. Clayton has no idea that it ever existed, and neither do any other NPCs. The players who went there may have a vague idea about what they did at the place, but it's not where they 'remember' it being, and they'll never find it again. Now Clayton works at the Guild, with no recollection that he was ever the personal adviser and close friend of the Chief.

Carl's Gunslinger has a pretty nifty ability, granted to him by Kimzhan:
As a standard action, his character aims. This ability emulates True Strike, while also allowing him to see clearly his target (as Clairvoyance for one round). The target must still be in LoS for this to function.
On the second turn, one of his eyes flies out of its socket towards the target, ensuring a direct hit (effects of True Strike). After the hit, he loses the eye; normal recovery methods are available. : He takes a -1 penalty to ranged attacks with one eye, and an additional -1 per range increment. : The range increment for all of his ranged weapons are halved. : If he uses the power again while having only one eye, he is fully blinded. - Regeneration works, but Remove Blindness is much cheaper (Potion is 750gp, so not really viable at this level).
His vision returns on its own each sunrise, although he doesn't know this yet. Whenever this happens, he needs to make a DC 16 Fortitude save; if he fails, he gains a temporary negative level (DC 16), as the curse pulls a part of his soul out to reform his eyes. Only one save is required for one or both eyes.
This will eventually affect his alignment if he keeps using it.

Note from October 10 game. Check Soreillia thread for a summary
The players were tasked by a mysterious woman(hired by Karbaros, though the party did not know this) to capture a Gouros noble named Jormund Vowe(though she lied and told them he had a different last name, also Jormund Vowe was a member of the Emperor's family and was the nephew of Arlen Vowe). Basically the party was lied to and ended up getting framed for the murder of Jormund(which was carried out by an assassin under Karbaros)and the Gouros emissaries thought the Boerenycians were behind the assassination.
However, Dr. McLuchador(Scott's character) took the fall for the assassination and war did not break out between the Gouros and the League of Trium. Though tensions have mounted as a result. What is also important to note is that Aryn(Trevor's character) and Lovejoy(Sebastian's character) purchased and freed Dios Arcades who is to be my spartacus slave revolt style character. She is going to pop up again in some of my other missions.
However, Karbaros wanted war to break out so he does not gain any influence from this mission.

October 14 game: Mission 4 Spear of Zeruvia (check soreillia thread for summary) The players were tasked by kabaros to capture the Spear of Zeruvia. Karbaros told them he was hired the Syntioch government to retrive it as they were fearful the spear might fall into gouros hands. This was a lie, as the main noble family in Syntioch(the Yura family) hired Karbaros to steal the spear. Both the Yura family and Karbaros wanted to start a war between the Gouros and League of Trium, and felt that if the ancient spear of Zeruvia went missing they could blame the Gouros for it and erupt the tensions between the two groups. The Yura family desired war as they felt it would give them a chance to enhance their power over syntioch and through the rest of the League of Trium. Karbaros wanted to start a war to ensure more assassination jobs for the Dirge.
Jason's Spear will, as of now, only do the fancy water cone thing. I may come up with more stuff for it to do and/or give it some kind of curse. If he tries to do fancy stuff with it just say nothing happens, or if you really want have it do some minor things with water, nothing big though. The spear also makes him a target if he tells anyone what it is, especially if any Syntiochs hear about it.
So basically Karbaros had the party unwillingly start a war. luls. War breaks out between the League of Trium and the Gouros Empire this Wednesday.
+1 Council Point to Karbaros.

So my group after wandering around in a bottled city, killing a couple of the locals, arguing with the rest and mostly running away, managing to broker a peace between a group of phase spiders and blink dogs (for about 2 hours still impressive) and killing a local timewarping nutcase did two very good things for the exterminator guild. 1st exterminator guild has acquired a very very powerful (and dangerous) magical cube which hasn't been identified yet + 1 to the exterminators 2nd A Ultillithid has been spotted in the city scaring the pants off those who know about it (this is a negative but not sure how) 3rd a large party of phase spiders has introduced to the Exterminators and the Guild knows how to use invisible teleporting large spiders... +1
Sword of the clockwork god -> Quickdrawing, masterwork sword that gives +1 to sleight of hand and bluff checks related to this sword. As a free action the user can change it into any weapon the owner knows how to wield.
and the Gnome Necromancer was giving the book "Ethics of Necromancy" by Gleebones Lemontwigs This will provide a +5 circumstance bonus to convince others he has 'good' intentions and paladins will on quick glace (need to wait the full 3 rounds of detect evil to see it) will appear one step closer to good. He doesn't know that...

So I have this unnamed Baron from a town in Boerenycia called Trius. Somebody should look into what's going to happen to this front-line, leaderless town (which is actually already full of soldiers) in the early stages of the upcoming Gouros-Trium war.
Also, I'm going to recruit Alex's Paladin as one of Kimzhan's Emissaries. I plan to recruit three emissaries, and I've already got a confirmation from Emma. I'm going to use this so that Kimzhan can spend more time away, enacting his 'master plan' (which I'm sure I'll come up with later). This will leave his seat periodically vacant, and it might be an excellent way to introduce certain PCs to the inner workings of the council.
Directors and Big D: let me know what you think. I'm recruiting them regardless, but I think it's a cool idea, especially since I think I'll be able to rope in Alex's Paladin. I'm thinking of working in Grey Guard somehow - the Prestige Class. I already know how to do it, mechanically.

ALSO: Double-post. Kimzhan would like to murder Ventris and sit the Gouros Emissary on the Ninth Seat. The cunning genie approached the mortal Vorus Eralon in the classic Efreet manner. Mr. Eralon made formal his Wish to achieve personal power in return for future favours.I haven't done anything major to the council yet Colin thinks this will be a fun idea. If Sebastian is up to having Ventris die or move (or if he stops showing up), then it's all good; it's not necessary to kill him if that's off the table, but it does fit Kimzhan's style and this is a pretty thematic excuse. The idea is to suddenly and inexplicably boost Eralon's power level. Ninth feels like the lowest that this will be effective. Plus, all of the seats above Eighth are full of active and awesome Councillors. If any of you want to off one of your guys, this is a good opportunity.

I believe that Ventris is now the target of an assassination plot, and that some Drow who would normally have been waylaid by guards, have found their way into the neutral city unexpectedly unimpeded.

I have a key and Siren, whoever was in control of both could control the Neutral-city-golem, so if you garner enough control Kimzhan could easily evolve into THE big-bad.

Alright, seeing as how Ventris is now dead, if Colin could come up with something fitting to give Eralon so that he appears deserving of the Ninth Seat, that would be pretty awesome. It's more fun than me just saying "Okay now he's there"; if the Wish granted him some kind of sudden army / clout / power, that would be more thematic.
I would suggest something along the lines of "Massive and sudden plebeian support, secretly caused by his acquisition of a Rod of Rulership or Splendour." He just suddenly appears with a regal cape and rod and demands the seat, with thousands of screaming fans. No explanation given. The cost of the Rod, which is past Wish-creating capability, is offset by the fact that the Rod is overpriced, and potentially also a Curse that either: a) Causes a personality penalty when expended, or; b) drains his Wisdom.
PS: My game was a filler game that released a Cold Druid loose on the border between Velen and Palmos. He's as close to CE as he can be while being a druid (loud, vindictive NE), and he's got an artifact that makes weakened versions of all Cold spells that he casts permanent. He's a really cool thematic boss that John or Colin can use, expanding his zone of permanent winter.

We have a serious lack of arcane representation on the Council. I'll make a fuck-off Archmage for you, just give me a couple of days.

Sorry about missing wednesday felt terrible... Anyways so significant points now that I realize my post didn't get pulled up but the Exterminator guild is feeling really pressured and scared so they're flexing their muscles they've placed a illithid on the table dc 5 Perception to identify that that is not human (he's wearing a hat beard) but it's dc 25 to identify what it is. Any detects evil/good read him as chaotic good... I am a little lost on what is going on at the moment, but is there still a demon on the board (I have a mission in which they're uncovering a mole in their organization ... but I don't know who to make the villian...
