I know, counter-intuitive buuuuuut I think as a grand collective of nerdosity, we should do something. Nerdy movie marathon (all 11 star trek movies LOL) maybe nerd's night at the pub, for all the legal ones i dunno, it would be fun or at least, i think so

I'm in, how about the 10th, we have an all nighter event and take over a few rooms in the student center. We'll do movies, games and what ever else nerdy things we'd like?

Haha, ok I am going to go ahead with some more of this badassary and plan the event, but you are right, we should do more stuff as a club.
We run events on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Sunday, and some Saturdays. But nothing of Mondays or Fridays.
I here by put you in charge of coming up with some sweet ideas for "Nerd Club Friday: Random fun with geeky people"

ARGHHH such a shitty time for it too, considering we're done classes in like two weeks and nobody wants to do anything during exam week... plans for next year? well, I definitely see a movie marathon being something we could all do. definitely some pub nights, maybe even have like pub night debates: "who'd win in a fight?" kind thing outdoorsy events, maybe even a big bonfire. weather-permitting, of course. and ideas from others would be badass
P.S. pranks pranks pranks

I have an idea for next year. Maybe every other month, or twice a semester, we could have a pizza party. Everyone could chip in however much is necessary to cover the costs of having it, and we could use it like our general meeting that we had at the beginning of the year.
Maybe?

Let's have a hang out day at some point mid june. We can start at the student center, we will get a projector and some classic movies. Have snacks, games and movies then as the night moves forward we can make our way to one of the many local bars for some drinks, dinner and hangouts.
Maybe we will get a chance to sit around and chat about the Child's Play event, and plan some stuff for next year, but mostly it's just a chance to hang out.

Rivet casts raise dead thread, substituting his iPhone as a material component for gems.
I know the last one got cancelled due to lack of interest but I thought it was a great idea. Are the exec going to try again for a nerd club social?

We wanted to do them often, but exams have stopped most of exec's from having time to work on them, and life/work has stopped me.
We will be trying to have one or even two next month.
I know there are plans for a Nerdy Girls Night Out/In being put together, but as for us manly men types I guess it is up to me to toss together. Tell you what, January 15th... Club space, 6pm all nerds invited to hang out, multi games, maybe order food... I'll toss together some door prizes even and a mtg challenge, and then when we are done we will head over the phoenix for drinks and laughs.
Remind me, bother me, aid me in this.

Sounds good but I think we need a better way to spread the word, perhaps through the mailing list, cause I know there are some people who don't use the forums. and yeah, prizes are a good incentive for people to come, maybe offer to run a couple "special" games of DnD where people can get in-character prizes as well. I would be totally willing to make up and run something like this, and I'm sure some other DMs wouldn't mind committing as well. (Speaking of that, what's the process for me to become a proper DM, from what I've seen the club could use another and I'm beginning to like DMing now)
