where did we land on the DM meeting this sunday? i Know john can't make it, and maybe not colin? (i forget the details). We could always post quick summaries of our missions here if that works for the first one. Not much to go over anyway, a whole meeting may not be necessary.

Slight map update in the attachment. I may be able to make the meeting if we hold it at 6:00 but I don't think a meeting is really necessary. Also John, just a minor misunderstanding but the invading empire isn't the mongol type faction. The main enemies of the League are the Gouros Empire which is a more kinda, somewhat medieval-ish style faction. Gonna write a more detailed summary of them eventually.....someday. Anyway, here's an update on some things regarding my setting. The Palmos have been expanded a bit along with the Triballoi and Gouros Empire. Palmos Archon: Toria Alamona Palmos is located near the border of the steppe lands where the Mongke Gal Khaganate are dominant. As a result of this, Palmos culture is partially influenced by the culture of the steppe tribes and the Palmos peoples frequently interact with them. Palmos has at various times been occupied by the Khaganate and even now, the borders intersect, and the nomads are often seeing grazing their herds not far outside Palmos` cities. The current political climate is tense, and the fragile peace is based mostly around their economic relationship. The large slave market in Palmos is the primary market for the slaves procured by the Western Khaganate during their raids and conquests. The Khagan receives an excellent price and in exchange, the Palamonian Archon profits from the exclusive contract with the Khaganate and the never ending supply of slaves funneled into the City. The Boerenycians are the primary buyers for the Palmosianslave trade however, states from as far away as the empire come for the best prices, and the cleanest, heartiest slaves in all the west. Palmos consists of the Proper city of Palmos and the surrounding sub cities which consist of, farming communities, ports, and hamlets. Each sub-city supplies one member for the Palmosian senate, which governs legal matters and acts in an advisory capacity to the Palmosian Archon who serves as the lifetime ruler and directly governs military and trade concerns. While the Palmosians do not wage war to any serious extent, aside from border conflicts with the Khaganate. The Archon still wields an enormous amount of power due to his control of trade laws, tariffs, and policy. The Archon was once elected by the senate but now power resides in a single aristocratic house. Triaballoi: Many years ago, the Triballioi were pushed north by intertribal warfare into the more northern reaches of the woad forest and the Campanian mountains. They were forced into the poor, but numerous, valleys of the Campanian mountain range. The tribes split up and forged their own kingdoms in the relatively lush valleys but soon they were set against each other for the scarce arable land. The Campanian mountains are rich in iron and bronze but there are few trees. Triballian weaponry emphasizes large hacking blades in favour of spears and arrows. They are most well known for their large steal Falx(same weapon stats as falchion) weapons. The tribes eventually united into a confederacy when the Great King Triaballos conquered the nearby valley kingdoms. The Triballoi, named after Triballos, moved into the rich land south of the mountains and started a new kingdom but there are still numerous tribal chiefdoms in the valleys and hills of the Campanian mountains. Gouros Empire: Led by Emperor Versaric Vow The Soreillia invasion army is managed by the Emperor’s representative, Arlen Vow. The territory that encompasses the empire is broken up into several kingdoms. When the kingdoms were originally conquered and the Empire was formed the Emperor placed his children on the thrones of the various kingdoms. He also instituted an elective succession for the Imperial title to ensure that only the strongest could succeed him. The Empire is marred by civil wars and explosive territorial expansion during in the years before the Emperor dies. Each new conquest equals one extra vote in the Imperial election, but there have been emperors who have assumed the throne by fostering strong relationships with the other kings. Each of the sub kingdoms is ruled by a member of the original imperial dynasty and thus each king is distantly related. Update on plot details The current Emperor Verseric is old and resigned to his bedchamber where he broadly directs imperial policy. Arlen Vow, head of the Soreillia invasion army and a member of the Emperor's family, desires the throne and wishes to annex Boerenecia to secure the election. About halfwayish through the plot the Emperor will become gravely ill. This makes Arlen Vow become more ruthless in the war so he can take Boerenycia and secure the position of emperor. Also later in the war, the Boerenycians face a slave uprising led by a Ronon man named Dios Arcades who freed himself by winning in the Tyrunos(The rite of passage where a boerenycian fights a slave) and secured his freedom. The players can choose to assist him or to put down the slave uprising. This will have an effect on the final battle in that supporting the slave uprising will throw the Boerenycian military in disarray and putting it down will allow the boerenycians to focus on the war with the Gouros Empire. So the players can choose to do the more "immediate good" option by helping the uprising or support the boerenycians so the empire doesn't gain an advantage. Or possibly side with the slaves to hinder the boerenycians on purpose so the Gouros empire will win. Attachments:

I'm game, working on my 'underdark' side of things. So I don't have a faction name, got a flag made up basically it is a large group of semi-humanoid (and non-humanoid) races basically working together out of necessity they have missions set up around points of access to the underdark, and are constantly attempting to keep the people on the surface on the surface and the people below, below. They known for their brutality, and for their compassion. No one knows their exact goals. Their stated mission is to prevent the destruction of the less common races, but also prevent those same races from conquering the surface worlds through subterfuge, conquest, and destruction. Their existence is a thorn in the side of everyone, one day they are rescuing people from aberrational kidnappers, the next sacrificing children to underworld gods. No one knows what they want, what they do, or what the are here for all we have to go on is their slogan. "We are what monsters fear"
Okey thoughts? edits? questions? concerns or good ideas?

What time will it be ending? My biggest problem with tomorrow would be getting home after the meeting if it ends really late.

it should be pretty fast, like 30 mins tops. We're just going to clarify some specifics, like the council, and go through roughly what well run, making sure everything is consistent with the established story. Which there isn't much of yet.

hero points are back in. Karma replaced by influence. DMs can give out up to 3 influence per game but only to players who go above and beyond as players (basicly rp exp). A DM gets 1 influence to add or subtract to/from a representative of their choice based on the outcome of the mission. The highest 50%(?) of the council in influence cannot be replaced as long as they remain in the top 50%. We also went through some details of our missions, basic premise mostly. thats pretty much it
